MILESTONEH E L P I N GP A T I E N T SLOGOSThe first all-in-one hybrid tissue processorRapid, fully automated single retortRapid, simultaneous dual retortConventionalThe ideal tool for the“lean” lab

Lean lab? Think LOGOS.Addressing the needs of “lean” labs for a flexible tissue processor.Highly adaptable to customized workflow streams.Fully automated processing in overnight and rapid modeParallel processing in continuous flexible-size batch modeUp to 140 cassettes with 1 gallon standard reagent containersUp to 210 cassettes with 5 liter reagent jarsAny type of tissue, up to 6 mm thicknessLOGOSThe all-in-one tissue processor with the exclusive Milestonepatented* microwave hybrid processing technology.Resistance heating modeThe LOGOS can operate as a conventionalresistance heated overnight tissue processor. Its processing parameters can be set to fit yourspecific workflow requirements. The LOGOS fulfills all CAP/ASCO guidelines forassessing Her-2, ER, PgR testing in breast tissues.Simultaneous microwave and resistance heating modeUltra-rapid dehydration/clearing steps are carriedout by microwave heating technology for fasterturnaround. The retort’s resistance heating speeds up the rampup time to the pre-set processing temperature.European Patent EP 1605243 - U.S. Patent 7,075,045*

Less stressful workload distributionThroughout the day the histotech can process urgent and small biopsies, on demand. These samples/biopsies, which can constitute 40-60% of the workload of a histopathology lab, arerapidly processed. The short processing time allows embedding, cutting and staining of specimens so that slides areavailable to the pathologist on the same day.The remaining cassettes can be automatically processed during the night, either by conventional orrapid hybrid heating technology.LOGOS Processing7 amWorkloadWorkloadConventional ProcessingTime4 pm7 amTime4 pm

LOGOS. Innovative workflow options for the “lean” labNight OperationAs a fully automated, single retort, overnight tissue processorProcessingretortWaxretortNIGHTDuring the night, LOGOS can run protocols as an advanced resistance heated conventional processor. Moltenwax is transferred automatically to and from the processing retort for the impregnation step. Xylene-freeprotocols with four reagents only: formalin, ethanol, isopropanol and wax. If required, xylene protocols areavailable. As an alternative, run LOGOS as a rapid tissue processor (delayed start) with desired completion timeset by user, allowing additional fixation time if needed.Day Operation (1)As a fully automated, single retort, rapid hybrid tissue processorProcessingretortWaxretortDuring the day, LOGOS can run urgent biopsies with hybrid microwave technology as a fully automated unit.Molten wax is transferred automatically to and from the processing retort for the impregnation step. This mode enables single batch runs with short cleaning cycles.Day Operation (2)As a sequential, dual retort, simultaneous batch hybrid tissue processorProcessingretortWaxretort1 The first rack undergoesfixation/dehydration/clearing in the processingretort.2 At the end of the processingcycle, the rack is manuallytransferred to the wax retort.3 A new rack is placed in theprocessing retort. The tworacks are simultaneouslyprocessed. One in the reagentstep and one in the wax stepfor higher throughput.

LOGOS. Software like never before. We could not make it more intuitive1Enter the appropriate user level. The operator can recall and runexisting processing protocols.Only the administrator can modifyprograms or store new ones.Intuitive touch display. Icon-driven, user friendly.2The administrator can easily setupa new protocol by selecting thedesired settings from the touchscreeninterface.3The complete summary of the newprotocol is displayed for approvalor modification before starting theprocess.4An event log lists all activitiescarried out with the unit, providingdocumentation for service and qualityassurance purposes.

English word is able to capture the fullness of John's Logos when he declared that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Attempts have been made by philosophers to translate Logos as logic, act, or deed—all of which are inadequate definitions. God's Logos does include action. The Logos is the eternal Word in action.

The Word (logos) was with God, and the Word (logos) was God. -John 1:1, 2 And the Word (logos) was made flesh, and dwelt among us . verse 14. So what is the problem? Would we not expect John to use a Greek term, since He is writing in the Greek language? Granted. But the term logos in
