If you have any questions orqueries please contact Vimi Pinto via email.GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHNsacraments@olhc.org.auA big thank you to all our school families for theirsupport for the St. Vincent de Paul Christmashamper drive. It was a big success!Christmas BlessingBless us Lord this Christmas, with peace that surpasses all understanding,Joy that is beyond material possessions,Love that knows no boundaries, and strengththat emanates from you.AMENA man came, sent by God. His name was John. He came asa witness, as a witness to speak for the light, so thateveryone might believe through him. He was not the light, only a witness to speak for the light. This is how John appeared as a witness. When the Jewssent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, ‘Whoare you?’ he not only declared, but he declared quiteopenly, ‘I am not the Christ.’ ‘Well then,’ they asked, ‘areyou Elijah?’ ‘I am not,’ he said. ‘Are you the Prophet?’ Heanswered, ‘No.’ So they said to him, ‘Who are you? Wemust take back an answer to those who sent us. Whathave you to say about yourself?’ So John said, ‘I am, asIsaiah prophesied: a voice that cries in the wilderness:Make a straight way for the Lord.’Now these men had been sent by the Pharisees, and theyput this further question to him, ‘Why are you baptising ifyou are not the Christ, and not Elijah, and not theprophet?’ John replied, ‘I baptise with water; but therestands among you – unknown to you – the one who iscoming after me; and I am not fit to undo hissandal-strap.’ This happened at Bethany, on the far side ofthe Jordan, where John was baptising. The Gospel of the Lord
