TO HEAR BUT NOT SEE.AMF Soundmosaic – simple. aesthetic. efficient. The newly developed AMF SOUNDMOSAIC is a flat-panel (membrane)loudspeaker in modular ceiling format and working on the principleof wave conversion. As such, the mineral fibre ceiling tile itself is theloudspeaker, the stimulation (oscillation) is effected by a module onthe reverse of the tile which therefore does not differ optically from therest of the AMF ceiling. AMF SOUNDMOSAIC is available in all classicTHERMATEX surfaces. The wave converter as the source of oscillation constitutes asignificant part of the loud speaker system. To optimize the effect ofthe surface-emitted sound, the adjoining tiles are integrated and linkedto each other by ceiling tile clips. The low weight of the assemblyallows for the system to be installed in new-build but also in retro-fitor refurbishments without needing to alter the ceiling grid.7

AMF THERMATEXHigh quality product rangeEDGE HARDENINGBy using a special coating method AMFTHERMATEX ceiling tiles with recessededges (VT) are hardened as standard andsquare edged tiles (SK) on request. This added durability provides protectionagainst damage. The fine chamfered edge gives a bettervisual appearance with clean, crisp lines.8MINERALTHERMATEX ceiling tiles are made from newgeneration bio-soluble mineral wool, clay andstarch and are therefore based on natural rawmaterials. Mineral wool offers excellent fireresistance and acoustic performance.SUSPENSION SYSTEMSAMF offers a range of suspensionsystems and tiles to satisfy differentdesign requirements.Ceiling systems are tested andcertified for fire protection andacoustic performance. With its wide choice of ceilings AMF canoffer the best solutions for a variety ofapplications.
