Online learning is continuing. Teachers are doing quite a few Zoom one on one meetings withstudents and it seems to be going pretty good.MS Principal, Patti Hoyt Thank you to all teaching staff for the fantastic job everyone isdoing. Online learning is progressing nicely. Faculty meetings are being conducted weekly. Teachers and Aides were given groups of children to keep incontact with. Counselors are doing an amazing job staying in contact withstudents that need them. Teachers are gathering work for students for the next 20 days.HS Principal, Julie Lambiaso May 4th-8th is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. Thank youto all staff for everything you are doing. Continuing instruction through online and Zoom meetings. Teachers are gathering work for students for the next 20 days. During the months of May and June, the district will be workingon different events to highlight the seniors. Prom and the Senior Picnic have been rescheduled for August.August 6th will be the Senior Picnic and August 7th will be theSenior Prom, as long as they will be able to be held at that time. Regents have been cancelled for this year. Any student that isenrolled in a class that requires a regents, as long as they pass theclass they will be exempt from the regents. Unatego Central SchoolBoard MeetingMay 4, 2020Minutes AP Exams are being offered online and open book.Congratulations to the Class of 2020 Valedictorian Paige McCoyand Salutatorian Mikaila Flavell. Their profiles have been put onFacebook and the website.Business Manager – Patti Loker Updated the board on the proposed budget on the agenda. Tax increase of 1.12% (tax cap).Transportation Supervisor – Brian Trask Updated the board on how many meals they are delivering eachweek. The list grows daily as more are calling to be added to thelist. The drivers and aides are on a rotating schedule and at the end ofeach delivery day the buses that were used are completelyswitched out with another set of buses and completely sanitizedbefore the next use.P. LokerB. TraskDr. RichardsSuperintendent’s Report - Dr. David S. Richardsth Teacher Appreciation Day is May 5 , Supt. Richards read a letterto the faculty and staff regarding the things that teachers have hadto do in such a short period of time during this pandemic to helpour students. Everyone is doing a wonderful job. The Annual Budget/Election vote has been rescheduled from May19th to June 9th and will be held by absentee ballot only. Budget postcards will be mailed out to all registered voters of theDistrict. Petitions are not required to run for a seat on the board perGovernor Cuomo. School meals are being delivered and will continue to bedelivered as long as possible. Supt. Richards suggested that the school go ahead and do thesecurity updates that the board had previously approved. There is still an Executive Order that limits large gatherings to 10or less people. We are still working on what we can do legally forGraduation. Continuity of Education Plan has been submitted. We are and will continue working on putting together acommittee to come up with a plan on what we will do when we3
