Of this, CAMBA has adopted an areaof approximately 2,000 square miles. The system is dividedinto seven sub-systems, known as clusters, each with one ormore trailheads. An over view area map of the entire systemindicating the location of each cluster as well as other graveland on-road paved routes is available. Trail clusters arelocated in the communities of Bayfield,Cable, Delta, Drummond, Hayward,Namakagon and Seeley. The trails follow avariety of routes, including logging roads,fire lanes, snowmobile and ski trails,double track and extensive singletracktrails. The terrain lends itself to riders of allabilities, from beginners to seasoned fattire experts. There are no paved bike pathsin the system.As you explore the CAMBA system,you will ride through rolling terrain dottedwith lakes, rivers, streams, ridges andmeadows carved by glaciers during the last ice age. The entiresystem is heavily wooded and wildlife is plentiful. It’s notunusual to sight deer, bear, porcupine, bald eagles and a wideassortment of other forest animals. Wildflowers bloom fromlate May through the summer. From June through September,berry picking — wild strawberries, blueberries, raspberriesand blackberries — can add a tasty diversion to your tour. Thefall colors begin in late August and reach their splendid peaknear the end of September and early October. Most trails inthe system are rideable from May through November — almostseven months of fat tire fun! And with the expansion of ourwinter fat bike routes, you can ride almost year round.Several area bike shops close to CAMBA trails offer bikesales and rentals, clothing, accessories and repairs as wellas trail riding recommendations. Description: This is the actual route used duringthe annual Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival.
