Starter Class Computer Science 3, Introduction to Computer SystemsThis is a beginning course intended for students who plan to take additional computerprogramming or computer science courses. Emphasis in the course is divided between abroad survey of the field of computer information systems and the acquisition of computerskills necessary for more advanced classes. Such skills would involve use of theoperating system, file management techniques, use of an editor, and an introduction toprogramming. Computer Science 7, Programming for Non-Computer Science MajorsThis introductory course covers programming concepts and techniques applicable tothose with no computer science background. The course is designed to assist those innon-computer science fields to develop small-scale projects. Topics covered includecomputer organization, data representation, variables, branching, loops, procedures,external access and the web. Tools used include HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and JQuery7

Starter Class COMPUTER SCIENCE 79A: Introduction to Cloud ComputingThis course introduces cloud computing which shifts information systems from onpremises computing infrastructure to highly scalable internet architectures. The courseprovides a solid foundation of cloud computing technologies and provides students withthe understanding required to effectively evaluate and assess the business and technicalbenefits of cloud computing and cloud applications. Students analyze a variety of cloudservices (storage, servers and software applications) and cloud providers. Case studieswill be used to examine various industry cloud practices and applications.
