The integrated anti-rotation device is usedwhen an external torque support is notpossible (e.g. because of limited space orbecause the piston rod has to extend freely intothe workspace) To ensure a proper linear movement duringoperation the piston rod as to be securedagainst rotation externally (e.g. by connectionto a linear guide).
