Be sure tohold the drill straight and level so that the backplate will be properly aligned when mounted (Fig. 3).- If you are installing the hinge on a solid gaterail (such as wood), use a 3 32" bit. Pilotholes should NOT be drilled all the way throughthe solid gate rails, as the back plate is notrequired.c.)For vinyl fence, drill pilotholes through railFrontFig. 4Secure Hinge to Gate Rail:- When installing hinges on a hollow gate rail(such as vinyl), install the back plate on theopposite side of the gate rail and secure with theappropriately sized bolts and fasteners, specifiedin the table below. The included nylon spacer maybe required to fill void space (Fig. 4).Back- When installing hinges on a solid gate rail (suchas wood), secure both hinges to the rail usingthree 11 2" stainless steel lag screws. (Fig. 2).b.)Percer les avant-trous :Fig. 2Marquer l’emplacementdes avant-trous- Si vous installez les charnières sur un traverse deportail creux (tel qu’un portail en vinyle), utiliserune mèche de 6.35 mm et percer complètementà travers le portail ou le traverse, de telle sorteque la mèche sorte de l’autre côté. Assurez-vousde bien tenir la perceuse droite et à niveau detelle sorte que la plaque arrière soit proprementalignée lorsqu’elle est installée. (Fig. 3).- Si vous installez la charnière sur un traversede portail solide (tel que du bois), utiliser unemèche de 2.38 mm. Les trous pilotes NEDOIVENT PAS être percés de part en partpuisqu’il n’y a pas besoin de plaque arrière.c.)Attacher la charnière au traverse du portail- Lorsque vous installez des charnières sur untraverse de portail creux (tel qu’un portail envinyle), installer une plaque arrière à l’opposé dutraverse et attacher avec des boulons et moyensd’attache de la dimension appropriée, telle qu’elleest spécifiée dans le tableau ci-dessous.
