The style of architecture of Daufuskie reflects the simplestyle of the island as well as the surrounding Low Country. Thedesign elements that will help achieve this overall harmony arediscussed in great detail throughout these guidelines while ensuringthat the building practices conform to what is timeless andsustainable. They do so by addressing the major components of astructure’s exterior.
