4WHAT YOU NEED TO BEGINBefore you setup your Onsight device, you need the following: Network Access Information Security Certificates (if required) Username Password Battery (charged and installed) SD card (necessary to record locally)FIGURE 2FIGURE 1IMPORTANT: When you are touching the Viewfinder screen, alwaysuse the stylus. Do not use other objects, as this could damage theViewfinder screen.SETUP WIZARDLOGINIf this is a first time setup you mayneed to configure Network, Security,Date and Time parameters beforelogging in. You will be prompted tofollow the Setup Wizard (Fig.1).To login you will need your Usernameand Password. (Fig.2)If you do not want to enter your Username and Password every time youcan configure the auto login feature.5SLED SELECTIONINSTALL THE SD CARDInstall either the Power or I/O Sledusing the stylus screwdriver.A properly installed SD memory card isnecessary to record locally.1Open the battery compartment door (Fig.1)using the stylus screwdriver. Remove thebattery (if installed).2Open the SD Gate by lifting the metaledge. The device willnot operate on the external adapter alone.Open the battery compartment door (Fig. 1)using the stylus screwdriver. Align the goldcontact pins (Fig. 3) in the compartment withthe contact holes on the battery. (Fig. 4)Slide the battery towards the compartmentdoor and push forward to create a solidconnection. (Fig. 5)CONTACT PINSFIGURE 3Close the battery compartment and tightenthe screw, do not over tighten. (Note that thedoor will not close if the battery is not fullyinserted, and the device will not start if thedoor is not properly closed.Attach the Power Sled or I/O Sled and usethe external power adapter to charge thebattery until the orange battery LED turns off.FIGURE 4FIGURE 5
