Physics is a fundamental knowledge of modern technology. Postgraduateprogrammes at PhD level are offered by thesis while the Masters programmes are offered by thesisand coursework. The Masters programmes by thesis are supported by a few courses that will providethe candidates with essential knowledge before carrying out research. The Masters programmes bycoursework require candidates to complete a short and focused research project. Studentsare required to schedule meetings with their supervisor or postgradute committee for no less than 40hours per semester for full time students and 20 hours per semester for part-time students.Master of ScienceThesisAll candidates of this programme have to register and pass 10 credit hours and register for the thesisfor each semester until completion of the academic programme.The required 10 credit hours of courses should be made up of 4 credit hours of core courses and 6credit hours of electives, respectively. The core courses are those offered by the faculty and school ofstudy. The elective courses are courses offered by the school of study and candidates can choose fromany available elective courses offered.Candidates are required to schedule meetings with their supervisor or postgradute committee forno less than 26 hours per semester for full time students and 13 hours per semester for part timecandidates.Course WorkCandidates for Master of Science (Energy Technology) programme have to register and pass 42 credithours course including 10 credit hours for Research Project. Candidates for Master of Science(Applied Physics) programme have to register and pass 40 credits hour course including 10 credithours for Research Project.Candidates for Master of Science (Radiation and Nuclear Safety) programme have to registerand pass 44 credit hours of courses including Research Project. Units for Research Project are 8 credithours.
