Little Cosy Things – Teddy the TurtleFasten off, leaving a long tail. Put a little tuft of stuffing in the shell and sew to Teddy's back. Stuff a little bitmore as you sew it around, till the shell is nice and firm. I sewed the shell onto the back of Teddy's neck a littleas well. If you find the shell too big for Teddy's back, skip round 6.And TA DA!! You now have your own Teddy the Turtle (not a bear, hopefully haha!). I hoped you enjoyedmaking your new little friend :) 2015 Natalie Schwarz / Little Cosy Things – All Rights ReservedPage 4 of 8

Little Cosy Things – Teddy the TurtleAppendix - Joining the legs togetherYou will now have 2 x little legs. Now we want to join these legs together and continue with the body. Sothe legs and the body are all one piece. This bit can be a little fiddly, so don’t worry if you have to do it afew times. For demonstration purposes I have used white yarn to show the legs, and red yarn to show the join. Justso you can see it more clearly.Hold both legs together, right side up, and so 2sc stitches on the last row of both legs aretogether.Insert hook in one sc stitch of one leg, andthrough to the other sc stitch on the other leg.Now both legs are joined by the hook. 2015 Natalie Schwarz / Little Cosy Things – All Rights ReservedPage 6 of 8

Little Cosy Things – Teddy the TurtleYarn over, and pull up a loop.Pull loop through both sc stitches.Chain oneSc into the same stitch (place stitch marker).Tip – place the tail of the yarn behind your nextstitches instead of having to sew in later.Otherwise you will need to sew this end in at theend of this round.Sc around until you reach the other side of the joint legs. 2015 Natalie Schwarz / Little Cosy Things – All Rights ReservedPage 7 of 8

Little Cosy Things – Teddy the TurtleInsert hook into the next sc stitch on the otherleg.Continue to sc around until you reach the firststitch.Sc once into the first stitch, and move yourstitch marker. There will now be 24 stitches, and both legsjoined together! We will now continue the body. 2015 Natalie Schwarz / Little Cosy Things – All Rights ReservedPage 8 of 8
