The speeches that were presentedlast week engaged the KT audience and were very interesting. Well done to allKT students on presenting their very first speech at school! In maths, KT havebeen learning about the events that happen in the morning and at night.Students came up with many activities that were relevant for each time of theday. In history, students have been discussing their favourite family celebrationand drawing a picture about it. They then shared their drawings with theirclassmates. In dance, KT have been learning different dance sequences andhaving lots of fun. Throughout the day students, participate in movementbreaks to help them settle and be focused for the next lesson. KT really like thedifferent movement breaks on Go Noodle. Students in KT have also beenlearning about having a ‘sweaty brain’ and being in the Learning Zone so itstretches us as learners. Intheir most recent focus, students were learning to write arguments that build upparagraph by paragraph to a powerful crescendo (tension scene). The classhas embraced the opportunity to write with passion and emotion using avariety of techniques on a range of topics. Amazing responses have beencrafted by students like, Dylan O writing some choice words using repetitionand emotive terms to convince the principal of his point of view; and Ava R andAnabelle H painted a persuasive picture of the best tourist destinations inAustralia. While Lulu B, Grace H and Lani S passionately policed the globalPositive Relationships for Positive Learning.Tues 16th June P&C Meeting via Zoom

crisis of plastic bottles and the environment; and Noah F and Josh B posted strong points and evidence on cyberbullying.This week 5/6F draws near the end of Rowan’s journey to save Rin in Emily Rodda’s novel ‘Rowan of Rin’. Against allthe odds, the class has joined Rowan, Strong Jon, Marlie, Val, Ellis, Bronden and Allun to face the challenges, riddlesand action adventures each character has faced to save their beloved town from the dragon in the mountains.Finally, in drama last week 5/6F students have explored the forgotten artform of shadow puppets. Day excursions to outdoor locations School photosPlease know that before any visitors are permitted on the school site, they must sign in at the front office and indicatethat they are aware of, and will abide by their obligations to comply with the health advice of the day, includinghygiene and distancing requirements. The visitor must also provide personal contact information to the school to beused in an emergency or when performing contact tracing if required (this info is already captured when signing inelectronically).
