PRESIDENT’S MESSAGEADAPTING TO COVID-19 ANDTHE NEW WORLD OF TRAVELAs many of you are aware, COVID-19 has had a massive impacton the travel industry and, inparticular, the aviation sector. InMarch, we made the decision to implement a temporary suspension of PacificCoastal network operations. Followinggovernment and healthcare official’sguidance, on June 1, we reinitiated ourscheduled service with many enhancedsafety practices to ensure the health andwell-being of our customers, employeesand the communities that we serve.There is no historical precedence ordata to forecast the pace at which thedemand for air travel will return. As abusiness, we can only move forward aswe adapt to the new world of travel. Wewill continue to monitor the demandthroughout our network and publishschedule changes on our website inadvance to provide customers with a reliable schedule to book with confidenceand make travel plans accordingly.Since we returned our scheduledservice, we have introduced additionalsafety measures, including a mandatorymask policy, enhanced aircraft sanitation practices, physical distancing andhand-sanitizer stations at airport facilities,reduced contact between customers andstaff, and a health check questionnaire atcheck-in. Customers mayalso select a seat after their reservationhas been made by going online or bycontacting the airline’s Call Centre.Seat selection will be complimentary to customers travelling on EncoreFares and QuikPass Encore. Customers travelling on all other fares willhave the option to select their seatin advance for 5 per passenger, perflight.
