SRI was established in 1953 by a group of investigators studying hypertensive disordersof pregnancy. While this topic is still studied by our investigators, today SRI is an international society with over 900 membersrepresenting 35 countries, who conduct basic, translational and clinical investigation in the reproductive sciences andwomen’s health. Areas of focus include obstetrics, perinatology, reproductive genetics, gynecology and gynecologic oncology,endocrinology, reproductive physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, epidemiology, reproductive infectiousdisease, and reproductive stem cell and developmental biology, among others.We are proud that SRI is the premier international organization that leads outstanding multidisciplinary basic, translationaland clinical research while promoting mentorship and a commitment to training in reproductive science and women’s healthto future generations of investigators.The SRI Annual Meeting has been established as the place where translational research is integrated with basic science to create robust and interesting programs fromyear to year. The topic of our 2021 meeting is “Navigating the Future for Reproductive Science”, and will officially kick off Tuesday evening, July 6, with our President’sDistinguished Lecture, New Investigator Plenary, Award Ceremony. The evening will end with the Welcome Reception. This will have been preceded by the MentorIn-A-Cloud Networking reception on Monday, July 5 and five all-day satellite meetings on Tuesday afternoon, July 6. The satellite meetings cover: Endometrium,Fetal Physiology, Myometrium/Parturition/Preterm Birth, Ovarian Biology and Placenta. The next three days will feature 12 mini-symposia sessions, three lunch andlearn symposia, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Forum, four sessions of oral concurrent presentations, and nearly 1,000 poster presentations covering the spectrum ofreproductive and women’s health issues. We will also hold our annual Connection Corners networking event geared toward new investigators on Wednesday evening,July 7, and additional career development sessions including the Early Career Forum, Mid-Career Session, Career Development Workshops and the Grant Writing Clinic.As a supporter of the 68th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Society for Reproductive Investigation, you will be given many opportunities to network with theworld’s premier basic and clinical reproductive research professionals throughout the meeting space, poster hall, and at the welcome reception, as well as any ofyour supported functions. About SRIThe first official meeting was held on June 15, 1953 at the Yale Club in New York City by a small group ofinvestigators studying hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. While many members still study hypertensivedisorders, the Society for Reproductive Investigation has grown to be the premier scientific organizationin obstetrics and gynecology, with one-third of its members being basic scientists and two-thirdsbeing clinical investigators. SRI members conduct basic, translational and clinical investigation inreproductive sciences and women’s health.
