4SPECIALIST IN CCNP-EnterpriseAdvanced Routing servicesAEC1-PROGRAM OBJECTIVEThis program is aimed at those working in the IT sector who are involved in various aspects of computernetworking for a range of private and public organizations. This program is also aimed at graduates of othernetworking programs and certifications such as the CCNA and/or CCIE. Graduates of this program willbecome specialized network trouble-shooters and may work in a number of possible IT job functions.2-CAREER OUTLOOKGraduates of this program will become Network professionals who typically work for companies of all sizes.Large companies often employ many network professionals who may specialize in particular aspects ofnetworking while small- to medium- sized business often employ one individual who is responsible for allaspects of the computer network environment.Network professionals are responsible for a variety of tasks including network installation, migration,inventory management, component configuration, performance verification, network supervision andsecurity management.Specifically, accredited graduates of the CCNP AEC are thought of as network specialists who are able toplan, implement, verify, and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks and work collaborativelywith specialists on advanced security, voice, wireless and video solutions.3-GRADUATE EXIT PROFILEGraduates of the CCNP Enterprise -Advanced Routing and Services AEC will be able to:1.2.3.4.5.Configure IP switching and routing for complex networksTroubleshoot routers and switchers security.Implement a complex IP network infrastructure and virtualization technologies.Troubleshoot network infrastructure services.Automate computer network management infrastructure tasks.4-ADMISSION REQUIREMENTSGeneral RequirementsTo be admissible for this Cybersecurity – AEC (LEA.D8), applicants must meet the eligibility requirements in effect at thetime as set forth in Article 4 of the College Education Regulations. In particular, applicants must have received instructiondeemed sufficient by the College and meet at least one of the following conditions: He or she has interrupted his or her full-time studies or has pursued full-time postsecondary studies for at leasttwo consecutive sessions or one school year;He or she is covered by an agreement between the college and an employer, or benefits from a governmentprogram;He or she has interrupted full-time studies for one session and has pursued full-time post-secondary studies forone session;He or she holds a DEP.

5Specific RequirementsIn addition to meeting the general admission requirements outlined above, applicants must demonstrate a knowledgelevel equivalent to the CCNA certification. The following are deemed equivalent. A valid8 CCNP or CCIE certification.A valid9 CCNA certification.An expired10 CCNA certification or other network certifications deemed equivalent (applicants may be asked towrite an entrance test).A completed program of studies containing CCNA level content. (Applicants may be asked to write an entrancetest).Or previous professional experience involving CCNA level content (applicants may be asked to write an entrancetest).Applicants will be asked to submit their curriculum vitae (CV) and may be interviewed for English-languageability.Conditions for obtaining the attestation of collegial Studies (AEC): All students enrolled in a program leading to theAttestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) must have successfully completed all courses in the program in order to obtain theattestation.

Students willdevelop the ability to implement complex switchingsolutions that target specific and complex scenarios. Studentswill then evaluate their implemented solutions and learn tomake judgments on the efficacy of the configurations. Topicscovered include: layer 2 protocols, VLAN’s, trunking,EtherChannels, spanning tree, PPP, and LAN switchingtechnologies.This course provides students with an opportunity toCONFIGURING IP ROUTINGconfigure and evaluate advanced IP routing. Through the420-712-LA3-3-390 HOURSapplication of content learned in the first course as well as anintroduction to new routing technologies, students willCompetency: BJ2Ndevelop the ability to implement complex routing solutionsPre-requisite: 420-711-LAthat target specific and complex scenarios. Students will thenevaluate their implemented solutions and learn to makejudgments on the efficacy of the configurations. Topicscovered include: MPLS operations, MPLS Layer 3 VPN,eBGP for IPv4 and IPv6, and WLAN.TROUBLESHOOTING ROUTING This course encompasses all topics relevant to the CCNPcertification and relies on the solid foundation of skills thatAND SWITCHING SECURITYstudents have developed over the first two courses.
