2 DISTRIBUTIONThe Direct Debit module is distributed in a standard Dynamics AX deployment package. The DirectDebit package model is cumulative, meaning that it is sufficient to install a single package in order toinstall the complete version of the latest Direct Debit module.To get the latest version of the Direct Debit module model, please visit: Distribution4
3 INSTALLATION3.1 PREREQUISITESBefore you start the installation, you should ensure that you have the following: The latest Direct Debit deployment package The necessary security access rights to the AX7 server, the database as well as the SQLReporting Server (admin rights are needed).3.2 INSTALLING THE DEPLOYMENT PACKAGEBy distributing the Direct Debit module in a deployment package, we ensure that the Direct Debitmodule can be installed using the procedures described by Microsoft. Below we briefly describe thedifferent steps in the installation process. For a detailed description on how to install an AX7deployment package, please ing-deployable-package-in-ax7/The module will install in the ISV layer.3.2.1 PREPARATIONDownload and extract the deployment package on the AX server. Executing the execute command will run through the runbook step-by-step, completing a number ofrequired steps, e.g. including installation of the Direct Debit module, synchronization of the databaseand restart of the AOS service.Once finished, an AmcDirectDebitFoundation folder is added to AOS server’s package directory and a Direct Debit tile should appear in the AX dashboard Installation8

4 SETUP4.1 SECURITY RIGHTSTo access the module, you now have to give the relevant user groups/roles access to AMC Direct Debit.AMC Direct Debit is distributed with an independent role, which can be added to designated DirectDebit users. This role will give access to the complete module and all its facilities.You can also choose to allow only partial rights to a user / role. AMC Direct Debit is divided into anumber of duties, which in turn contains a number of privileges. These duties can be added to existingroles in AX.Since AMC Direct Debit is related to several standard AX tables, it is also necessary to assign the currentusers a number of additional rights / roles if they are not already assigned to them. These rights canbe assigned in several ways, but a proposal for an appropriate setup can be to assign the current usersthe following additional roles: System userAccountantAccounts receivable clerkAccounts payable clerkIn addition, the user must be assigned rights to print reports via the Reporting Server.4.2 LICENSEIn order to use AMC Direct Debit, a valid license has to be present. If an existing license is not present,a new license has to be registered.4.2.1 REGISTRATIONTo register a new license open AMC Direct Debit Setup Parameters. In the parameter setup selectthe “Web service” tab and click the “Edit license” button in the license section. Setup10

4.2.2 TEST CONNECTIONThe “Test connection” button in the “License” section can be used to test the connectivity against thebank data conversion service and the license server.The “Test connection” only tests the connectivity, and if it was successful able to reach the endpointsof the bank data conversion service and the license server, the system should return a message similarto the one belowIf “Test connection” returns an error, it indicates, that a connection could not be established. In thatcase, please ensure that firewalls etc. allows outbound access to the license server as well as the bankdata conversion service. 4.2.3 VERIFY LICENSETo test the validity of the license login and password, click the button “Check license” from the“License” section”. If the entered login and password matches the license, the system should return amessage, saying that the license was successfully verified. Setup13
