Vacuum TankersAs with all Redrock Products, the Redrock vacuum tanker range is built to the highestquality. Rolled from 6mm plate steel, all tanks are welded both internally and externally andinclude 4”x 2” channel rings welded inside the tank for extra strength and a longer servicelife. Tank StructureAll Redrock Vacuum tankers are made from 6mm high quality rolledsteel, welded internally and externally and fitted with anti enclosure ringsto ensure the strains exerted on the tank are limited. All Redrockvacuum tanker drawbars are made full length and attached in front ofthe axle/axles so the tank is pulled from the fixing point of the runninggear reducing stress on the tank.All tanks are fitted with hose hookson both sides. Three sight glassesare fitted to the front of tanks andone sight glass fitted at rear.Redrock vacuum tankers are fittedwith Jurrop vacuum pumps asstandard. Optional Extras100mm (4”)Sight TubeThe option of the100mm sight tube canbe chosen to give theoperator a moreaccurate level in thetanker.An example of thiswould be when using theTrailing Shoe system orDribble Bar, the operatorwill be able to keep aneye on the slurry flowingout off the tanker.Three Sight Glasses100mm Sight TubeThe Self Fill boom is a hydraulic operated arm to fill the slurry tankwithout leaving the cab of the tractor. Sucking the slurry through afunnel that has been connected to the slurry pit. This is operatedthrough the hydraulic pipe work of the vacuum pump changeover. So noextra spool valve is needed to operate. Turbo Filler may be added to theSelf Fill Boom or alternatively fitted to a fill point in order to speed up thefilling process. With air brakes there is also the brakefailsafe were by if the tank disconnects from thetractor the brakes will be applied. The combinationof both Air & Hydraulic brakes can be useful if thetanker is towed by different tractors fitted witheither air or hydraulic brakes.Free Steering AxlesThe free steering axle is available onall tandem sprung axle vacuumtankers. The steering axle follows thedirection determined by the tractor.The oscillation range is approx 15 oneach side of the front wheel. Whentowed on the road or when the tank isreversed a hydraulic locking devicesaligns the running gear with the frontaxle and make it safe to use.
