Chapter 2Install the MonitorInstallation PrecautionsRead and follow these precautions before you install the monitor.Environment and Enclosure InformationATTENTION: This equipment is intended for use in a Pollution Degree 2industrial environment, in overvoltage Category II applications (as defined inIEC 60664-1), at altitudes up to 2000 m (6561 ft) without derating. This equipment is considered Group 1, Class A industrial equipment according toIEC/CISPR 22. Without appropriate precautions, there can be potentialdifficulties with electromagnetic compatibility in other environments due toconducted as well as radiated disturbance. This equipment is UL Listed. However, to meet some regulatory requirements, the monitor must be mounted in an enclosure that is suitably designed forenvironmental conditions that can be present. All VersaView industrial monitors are shipped with a gasketed bezel to meetspecified NEMA, UL Type, and IEC IP ratings only when mounted in a panel orenclosure with an equivalent rating. In addition to this publication, see the following: Industrial Automation Wiring and Grounding Guidelines, publication1770-4.1, for more installation requirements NEMA 250 and IEC 60529, as applicable, for explanations of the degrees ofprotection provided by enclosuresEuropean Union Directive ComplianceThis monitor meets the European Union Directive requirements wheninstalled within the European Union or EEA regions and have the CEmarking. A copy of the declaration of the conformity is available ication/overview.page.ATTENTION: This monitor is intended to operate in an industrial or controlroom environment, which uses some form of power isolation from the publiclow–voltage mains. Some monitor configurations cannot comply with theEN 61000-3-2 Harmonic Emissions standard as specified by the EMC Directiveof the European Union. Obtain permission from the local power authoritybefore you connect any monitor configuration that draws more than 75 W ofAC power directly from the public mains. To comply with EN 55024, the Ethernet port LAN cable must be used onlyindoors. All other I/O cables must be less than 3 m (9.84 ft) and used onlyindoors.12Rockwell Automation Publication 6200M-UM001A-EN-P - December 2017

Install the MonitorInstallation GuidelinesChapter 2Follow these guidelines to make sure your monitor provides service withexcellent reliability: The installation site must have sufficient power.ATTENTION: For applications with an AC power source, the AC-to-DCpower adapter (ordered separately) must be plugged into agrounded outlet to maintain an electrically safe installation. In dry environments, static charges can build up easily. Proper groundingof the monitor helps to reduce static discharges, which can cause shockand damage electronic components. The ambient air temperature must not exceed the maximum operatingtemperature of 0 50 C (32 122 F).IMPORTANTThe monitor can operate at a range of extremes. However, the lifespan of any electronic device is shortened if you continuouslyoperate the monitor at its highest rated temperature, whichincludes the touch screen and LCD panel. The humidity of the ambient air must not exceed 90% @ 40 C(104 F), noncondensing. The monitor cover must always remain in place during operation. Thecover provides protection against high voltages inside the monitor andinhibits radio frequency emissions that can interfere with otherequipment.IMPORTANTThe monitor can operate at a range of extremes. However, the lifespan of any electronic device is shortened if you continuouslyoperate the monitor at its highest rated temperature, whichincludes the touch screen and LCD panel. You can only mount and operate VersaView monitors in a horizontalorientation (with the interfaces at the bottom) and the vertical(upright) position. Vertical orientation (with the interfaces to the left orto the right) is only possible when supported by the operating systemthat is used.Horizontal OrientationVerticalPositionIn both views, interfaces are at the bottom of the monitor.Rockwell Automation Publication 6200M-UM001A-EN-P - December 201713

Chapter 2Install the MonitorEnclosure Guidelines The enclosure must allow sufficient space around air inlets and outlets toprovide the circulation necessary for cooling. See Mounting ClearanceRequirements for further information. Never allow air passages tobecome obstructed. Hot air rises. The temperature at the top of the enclosure is often higherthan the temperature in other parts of the enclosure, especially if air isnot circulating.Consider a user-supplied fan, heat exchanger, or air conditioner for heatgenerated by other devices in the enclosure. See Installation Guidelineson page 13 for the acceptable temperature ranges for these monitors.Mounting ClearanceRequirementsIMPORTANTMonitors generate heat. Therefore, do not operate the monitor in anenclosure with the minimum clearances unless adequate ventilation orother cooling methods are used to lower the temperature within theenclosure. To help prevent overheating and to provide access to themonitor I/O ports for cable connections, leave at least5 cm (2 in.) of free space around the monitor.Do not obstruct the air intake, exhaust openings, orcooling fins of the monitor cover.Air FlowDirection14Rockwell Automation Publication 6200M-UM001A-EN-P - December 2017

Chapter 2Install the MonitorInstall the MonitorThe monitors support panel mounting.Panel Mounting GuidelinesObserve these guidelines when installing a monitor in a panel.ATTENTION: Failure to follow these guidelines can result in personalinjury or damage to the panel components. Remove all electrical power from the panel before you make the cutout. Confirm that there is adequate space behind the panel. For specificinformation, refer to Mounting Clearance Requirements on page 14. Cut supporting panels to specifications before installation. Takeprecautions so metal cuttings do not enter components already installedin panel. The supplied mounting hardware accommodates panel thicknessbetween 1.5 6 mm (0.06 0.24 in.). Make sure the area around the panel cutout is clear. The only acceptable mounting position is in the horizontal positionwith the I/O ports at the bottom. For further information, see the lastbullet point in Installation Guidelines on page 13.Panel Cutout DimensionsThe VersaView 5000 Cutout Template, publication 6200-DS001, is shippedwith all VersaView 5100 industrial monitors. The monitors must be mounted to meet these panel cutout dimensions.Display Size (in.)16Cutout Dimensions (H x W),

Graeme falls in love with Barbara Allan. He is so lovesick that he is bound to his deathbed. When Barbara comes to visit her ailing lover, she reminds him that he slighted her in front of others at a local tavern. He dies, and then she feels guilty, so she asks her mother to prepare her deathbed for the following day. The message might be that one doesn’t need to take love for granted, or it .
