PORON Microcellular PolyurethanesOrder Placement – Orders will be accepted by phone, e-mail or fax, but errors intransmission are the customer’s responsibility. Phone orders require a writtenconfirmation either via mail or fax. The order must be clearly marked “Confirming” orthe cost due to a duplicate shipment will be the customer’s responsibility. Orders forPORON Condux Plus materials require a forecast in advance of order placement.Order Acknowledgment – All orders are subject to written acceptance at all RogersCorporation locations for adherence to these guidelines and policies as well as all other“standard terms and conditions of sale”. A copy of the Rogers’ standard terms andconditions of sale is available upon request. Rogers Corporation will normally confirmorders within 24 hours or less.Minimum Order Size – An order minimum of three standard rolls per line item appliesfor Major Converters and Converters. An order minimum of one standard roll per lineitem applies to Preferred Converters. This policy excludes 4701-43HBF PORON EVExtendORDER GUIDELINES, TERMS, AND POLISupported Materials – Standard supported materials are offered on 2 mil (0.002" or0.05mm) polyester (PET) film. The bond of the foam to the film will be permanent.Surface Preparation – All standard unsupported PORON materials are “printed” withacrylic coating on both sides for your ease of handling. PORON polyurethanes may beavailable printed on one side for specialty applications. An increase in blocking may beexperienced with material printed on one side only. All standard supported PORONmaterials are “printed” with acrylic coating on the non-PET side.Buffing – Many PORON polyurethanes can be buffed to remove the skin. Buffedthickness tolerance are 5% on thicknesses down to 0.080” (2mm) and 0.004” ( 0.01mm) on thicknesses less than 0.080” (2mm). Buffed materials aresubject to higher minimum order quantities, upcharges, and lead times. Theminimum order quantity for buffing follows the non-standard ordering guidelinesbelow. Materials requiring buffing or any other secondary operation are subject to anadditional one week lead time.products which have a six roll MOQ.Standard Roll Lengths—Standard roll lengths are defined by material. Rogers reservesthe right to ship a roll that contains one (1) splice to yield the total length required foran item. Anappropriate shipping schedule must accompany the order.Shipping and Handling – In North America, customers may choose a preferred carrier.If specific shipment instructions are not chosen, an appropriate means of shipment willbe selected. Third party billing instructions must be stated on the original PurchaseOrder or the shipment will automatically be shipped collect.Customers may take advantage of Rogers Corporation house carrier discount.Materials will be shipped pre-paid and added to the invoice. A 20% fee may be chargedfor drop shipping. In Europe, all orders are shipped Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) withRogers own carrier. In Asia, customers may also take advantage of Rogers Corporationhouse carrier discount. Materials will be shipped pre-paid and actual freight will beadded to the invoice.Payment Terms – Terms of payment are customer specific and set by RogersFinance Department. All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are noted formeasurements shown.Sample Policy – Standard sample sizes are 8.5” x 11” sheets (maximum 10), A4 sizesheets in Asia (maximum 10), 3 ft linear roll (maximum 2) or mini rolls (maximum 1) perline item. Larger samples may be requested, but may be subject to a surcharge.Condux Plus samples are limited to 8.5” x 11” sheets (maximum 2). Custom colors areavailable and are subject to higher minimum orders and color matching charges.Jumbo Rolls – Jumbo rolls of increased roll length are available upon requestfor most materials. Contact your local sales engineer or Rogers CustomerService with specific requests.Cancellation – A cancellation charge will be applied if manufacturing of a material hasbeen started, completed or where special raw materials have been purchased. If thematerial is deemed resalable, a 15% restocking fee may be applied. If the material isdeemed not resalable, a full (100%) cancellation charge will apply.Cancellation charges will not apply if: (1) the order has not been scheduled. (2) theorder has been scheduled but no special material or labor costs have beenIncurred. In Europe, cancellation requests are treated on a case by case basis.Product Complaints – Product complaints should be directed to Rogers’ CustomerService. Returned materials must be properly packaged to preventdamage, and must carry lot numbers. Rogers Corporation reserves the right not toaccept returned materials if they are damaged. The following conditions apply: All returns are subject to approval. Standard, conforming product beingreturned may be subject to a restocking fee of 15% of the purchase price and thecustomer is responsible for freight costs.Non-Standard materials will not be accepted unless it is a quality issue, and isapproved for return. Customarily a sample of the defective material will have tobe sent to obtain approval.Tolerances – Length tolerance of rolls shipped is 5%/-0% of ticketed length. MostPORON polyurethanes are trimmed to stated width 1 inch/–0. Special notation ismade after the width, “U”, for materials that are provided untrimmed. Untrimmedmaterials will be fractionally wider than the stated width. The stated width is theamount of good material charged for. Untrimmed materials are also available onspecial order.
