Fun withFigurative LanguageThis pack includes 32 Figurative Language matching cards, and 8Heading Cards.Independent: Students have to match each figurative language cardto the correct heading card.With a partner: Students lay the heading cards out on their desk.The figurative language cards are split evenly between both players.Each player takes a turn matching one of their cards to the correctheading card. If they match the cards correctly, they get a point. Ifthe other person spots their mistake, they can steal the point. Theperson with the most points, wins!Whole Class: Give each student in the class a card. When you say“Go”, have the class separate themselves into groups based on thetype of figurative language card they have. It is up to them to figureout which type of figurative language they have, and which studentshave the same as them.
