WSSU and North Carolina Community College Transfer Equivalencies and Areas of KnowledgeEffective Fall 2014October 21, 2014 ver.WSSU wants transfer students to have a broad exposure to the areas of knowledge across the academy. Therefore, students shouldtake a least one 3-hour course in each of seven Areas of Knowledge (Fine Arts, Foreign Language/Culture, History, Literature,Mathematics/Logic, Natural Sciences, Social/Behavioral Sciences) as part of their general curriculum. This table provides the NCCommunity College course, the WSSU ID and the WSSU Area of Knowledge. Some courses may actually address two areas ofknowledge. In that case an advisor will work will you to determine how best to use the courses you have taken to meet graduationrequirements. One hour labs do not fulfill the Area of Knowledge requirement.NC Community College CourseACAACA 122ACCOUNTINGACC 120ACC 121ANTHROPOLOGYANT 210ANT 220ANT 221ANT 240ANT 240AANT 245ARABICARA 111ARA 112ARA 181ARA 182ARA 211ARA 212ARTART 111ART 113ART 114ART 115ART 116ART 117ART 118ART 121ART 122ART 130ART 131ART 132ART 135ART 140ART 171ART 212ART 213ART 214ART 222ART 231WSSU Course IDArea of KnowledgeCollege Transfer SuccessElectiveOtherPrin of Financial AccountingPrin of Managerial AccountingACC 2316ACC 2317OtherOtherGeneral AnthropologyCultural AnthropologyComparative CulturesArchaeologyArchaeology Field LabWorld PrehistorySOC 3314SOC 3314ElectiveHIS 3381ElectiveElectiveSocial/Behavioral ScienceSocial/Behavioral ScienceSocial/Behavioral ScienceSocial/Behavioral ScienceSocial/Behavioral ScienceSocial/Behavioral ScienceElementary Arabic IElementary Arabic IIArabic Lab IArabic Lab IIIntermediate Arabic IIntermediate Arabic Foreign Language/CultureForeign Language/CultureForeign Language/CultureForeign Language/CultureForeign Language/CultureForeign Language/CultureArt AppreciationArt Methods and MaterialsArt History Survey IArt History Survey IISurvey of American ArtNon Western Art HistoryArt by WomenTwo Dimensional DesignThree Dimensional DesignBasic DrawingDrawing IDrawing IIFigure Drawing IBasic PaintingComputer Art IGallery Assistantship IGallery Assistantship IIPortfolio and ResumeWood Design IPrintmaking IART 1301ElectiveART 2301ART 2302ElectiveElectiveElectiveART 1321ElectiveElectiveART 1311ART 2312ART 3303ART 2331ART 1314ElectiveElectiveElectiveElectiveElectiveFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine ArtsFine Arts
