Saint Mary of EgyptSaint Zosimas (April 4) was a monk at a certainPalestinian monastery on the outskirts of Caesarea.Having dwelt at the monastery since his childhood, helived there in asceticism until he reached the age of fiftythree. Then he was disturbed by the thought that he hadattained perfection, and needed no one to instruct him.―Is there a monk anywhere who can show me some formof asceticism that I have not attained? Is there anyonewho has surpassed me in spiritual sobriety and deeds?‖Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared to him andsaid, ―Zosimas, you have struggled valiantly, as far asthis is in the power of man. However, there is no one whois righteous (Rom 3:10). So that you may know howmany other ways lead to salvation, leave your nativeland, like Abraham from the house of his father (Gen12:1), and go to the monastery by the Jordan.‖Abba Zosimas immediately left the monastery, and following the angel, he went to the Jordanmonastery and settled in it.Here he met Elders who were adept in contemplation, and also in their struggles. Never didanyone utter an idle word. Instead, they sang constantly, and prayed all night long. Abba Zosimasbegan to imitate the spiritual activity of the holy monks. To continue reading, please go to: Venerable Mary of Egypt - Orthodox Church in America (oca.org)Hebrews 9:11-14(Epistle)11But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfecttabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.12Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most HolyPlace once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.13For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifiesfor the purifying of the flesh,14how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himselfwithout spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?Mark 10:32-45(Gospel)32Now they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going before them; and theywere amazed. And as they followed they were afraid. Then He took the twelve aside again andbegan to tell them the things that would happen to Him:33―Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priestsand to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles;2

Mark 10:32-45(Gospel Cont’d.)34and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He willrise again.‖35Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him, saying, ―Teacher, we want You to do forus whatever we ask.‖36And He said to them, ―What do you want Me to do for you?‖37They said to Him, ―Grant us that we may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on Your left, inYour glory.‖38But Jesus said to them, ―You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?‖39They said to Him, ―We are able.‖ So Jesus said to them, ―You will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with the baptism I am baptized with you will be baptized;40but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it isprepared.‖41And when the ten heard it, they began to be greatly displeased with James and John.42But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, ―You know that those who are considered rulersover the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.43Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be yourservant.44And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all.45For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom formany.‖HOLY WEEK & PASCHA Please see Fr John’s schedule for services during Holy Week andPascha. ALBANIA, HERE WE COME! A message from Steve & Theopani Sarigianis to Fr John onApril 8th:We pray this finds you well.On April 14, just six days from today, we will finally deploy to Albania!Years of prayer and preparation have culminated in this moment! In less than a week we will boardour plane and arrive in a totally new country in which to live and work. Predictably, we are reallyexcited. We also feel a bit nervous as you can probably imagine. Most of all, we have a strong senseof reassurance that we are where we are meant to be: following our Lord’s call to serve His people inthe mission field, to open a new chapter with all the joys and struggles it will bring.“If I rise on the wings of the morning, if I settle on the far side of the sea, eventhere your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me.” Psalm 139:9-10Not only are we travelling with the Lord, but we know we have each of you with us in spirit and inour hearts; we couldn’t feel more taken care of! Each step we take as individuals is really a collectivestep since we represent all of you in Albania. And after all, you have made our work possible withyour support. For communication, we will continue to use email and Zoom to connect with you all; we lookforward to remaining in contact while abroad. Please stay tuned for our next update after Pascha.Further, we encourage you to follow us on social media if you haven’t already:Instagram: @withlovesarigianisFacebook: @sarigianisOCMCWebsite: withlovesarigianis.comPlease know we have each of you in our prayers, and we are continually grateful for your supportand love. The Eastern Orthodox Church- ORTHODOX FAITH OR FAITHS? In Becoming Orthodox, Peter Gillquist asserts, “The Orthodox church miraculously carries today the same faith and life of the Church of the New Testament.” 6 The presupposition behind this statement is that the Orthodox church is a unified body that speaks with one voice.

The empirical study suggests that the modern management approach not so much substitutes but complements the more traditional approach. It comprises an addition to traditional management, with internal motivation and intrinsic rewards have a strong, positive effect on performance, and short term focus exhibiting a negative effect on performance. These findings contribute to the current .
