If you have card stock, use that, or if you have alaminator, you can laminate the sheets. Cut the “calling” sheets (the last three sheets) alongthe marked lines. You’ll also need a marker for each player.Basic PreparationIt’s easy to overlook, but the success of any activity can depend on some basic preparation.Preparation Is the person comfortable?Is the area free from distractions?Is the lighting in the room appropriate for this activity?If the person requires glasses, are they wearing them?Are they clean?Refer to the “Presenting an Activity, Start to Finish” article on our website for more details.When possible, you should demonstrate the activity first, showing what is expected while usingas few words as possible to describe it. Presenting the ActivityBingo Game1. Give each person a “bingo” card (or let them choosetheir own) and a marker to cross out matching pictures(or chips to place on each matching picture).2. Put the “calling cards” in a bowl or box, or just shufflethem up on the table.3. Pick a calling card, show the picture and read the wordout loud. Each player marks the matching picture ontheir card just as in regular bingo.Matching Game1. Print two copies of the flash cards (the last three pages)and cut one copy into invididual cards, leaving the othercopy as a template.2. Hand the person a card and have them match it to thetemplate, then add more cards and more templates.Presenting Give each person a bingocard and a marker Pick a card, show thepicture and read the wordout loud Each player marks thepicture on their card justlike in regular bingo Make a matching gameby using a second copy ofthe cards as a template3. For more challenge, cut the picture from the templateso that the person matches the card against the wordalone.4.
