StarcraftRVs are available in several sizes and models, so accessories and componentsmay differ. Some equipment described in this manual may not apply to your RV. CAMPING TRAILERSSECTION 1 - WARRANTY & SERVICEMANUFACTURING PROCESSStarcraft recreation vehicles are manufactured for use as temporaryliving quarters for recreation, camping and travel uses, all as definedby the bylaws of the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA).This recreation vehicle is not intended for use as a full-timeresidence or for commercial use.Commercial use means using the RV as a business asset such as amobile office or using the RV for lease or rental purposes.Starcraft reserves the right to discontinue or change specifications or design atany time without notice and without incurring any obligation whatsoever. RV’s builtfor sale in Canada may differ to conform to Canadian Codes.CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITYIt is important you read and understand the information in this manual and yourWarranty Packet using your RV.Familiarize yourself with the applicable warranties. You are responsible forensuring the procedures for obtaining warranty repair are followed properly. It isyour responsibility and obligation to return your RV to your dealer for warrantyservice repair.As the owner of the RV, you are responsible for regular and proper maintenanceperformed in accordance with this manual and the OEM manuals. Regular andproper maintenance will help prevent conditions arising from neglect that are notcovered by warranty.As with your other personal belongings, it is important to protect yourself andothers with insurance coverage. Your insurance agent can assist you in obtainingthe appropriate insurance coverage for personal liability, theft, collision, propertydamage, etc.DEALER RESPONSIBILITYAt the time of sale of the new RV, your dealer is expected to: Deliver your RV in the best condition possible. Your RV must pass thedealer’s pre-delivery inspection (PDI), including all systems tests. Provide orientation of the RV, its systems, components and operation. Request that you read all warranty information and explain any provision notclearly understood. Ensure you receive the Warranty Packet. Your dealer can assist you incompleting the OEM warranty cards or registrations, and locate any requiredcomponent model or serial numbers. Complete and return the “Warranty Registration and Customer Delivery Form”to Starcraft within 10 days of delivery to activate the applicable warrantycoverage.The Towable Limited Warranty is activated only after Starcraft receives a signedand dated “Warranty Registration and Customer Delivery Form” from your dealer.1-3SCT

SECTION 1- WARRANTY & SERVICECAMPING TRAILERSSUGGESTIONS FOR OBTAINING SERVICEThe independent dealers authorized to sell Starcraft RVs are also there to provideservice after the sale. We work closely with them in an effort to keep you satisfied.To help ensure your dealer provides the level of service you expect, here aresome suggestions we would like to make:Contact your dealer at once Do not wait until you are ready to use your RV.Your dealer may not be able to service it immediately and/or the repair mayrequire parts be ordered. The dealer’s service department is busiest on Mondays,Fridays and before the holidays.Prepare for the appointment If you are having warranty work performed, besure to have the right papers with you. Take your warranty folder and have yourvehicle information available. Not all the work to be performed may be covered bythe warranty; discuss additional charges with the dealer’s service management.Prepare a list Provide your dealer with a written list of specific repairs needed.It is important that you provide any vehicle repair history to the dealer’s servicemanager. Keep a maintenance log of your RV service history. This can oftenprovide a clue to the current issue.Be reasonable with your requests If you leave a list with several items andyou need your RV returned back by a specific time, discuss the situation with thedealer’s service management and list your items in order of priority. This mayinclude making a second appointment for work not completed or parts that thedealer may need to order.Don’t expect to look over the technician’s shoulder Please do not beoffended if you are told you cannot watch the work being done. Some insurancerequirements forbid admission of customers to the service area.Inspect the work performed Finally, check out the service or repair job whenyou pick up your RV. Notify the dealer’s service management immediately of anydissatisfaction. If you cannot return your RV immediately for repair, make anappointment as soon as possible.Please be aware that all repair businesses require notification of any issues withtheir repairs within a specified time limit. Make sure you are familiar with yourdealer or RV repair center’s repair policies.CUSTOMER RELATIONSStarcraft, has empowered its dealers to make warranty and repair decisions. If aspecial circumstance occurs that requires information from Starcraft we haveasked your dealer’s service management to make the contact on your behalf. Thisis why you should always talk to your dealer’s service management first.When making contact with your dealer, please provide the following information: Your name, location and phone number. Your RV 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN). Your date of purchase. The name of your selling dealer.o If different from above, the contact information for the RV repair facilityyou are contacting Starcraft to discuss. A detailed description of the concern.
