If required, messages can be imported, edited, and adjusted manually. Typical EDI formats such as UN/EDIFACT,ASC X12, and VDA are supported.Transformation transforms messages that contain structured data from one format into another format.Structured data are BOD messages, EDI messages, or files of special formats such as XML and otherstructured data formats.Release ManagementRelease Management enables you to manage and monitor the automatic release orders of yourcustomers and trading partners according to the requirements of their business processes.Customer release orders, typically planning schedules, shipment schedules, and sequence schedulesare transformed into ShipmentSchedule, PlanningSchedule, and SequenceSchedule BODs byTransformation. Release Management imports these BOD messages from Infor ION.ShippingShipping is the automotive solution for shipping and foreign trade. This functional area in AutomotiveExchange covers the comprehensive requirements in automotive export, shipping, and carrier business, but is not limited to automotive use.Shipping is used to print trading partner-specific documents and labels, such as barcode labels, waybills, and advance ship notices. Shipping exports the shipment data to Transformation.PrintingPrinting provides functions to print and manage print requests that are created by theAutomotiveExchange services. In addition, you can manage custom print templates, custom print dispatchers, custom print translations, and custom print resources zip files. The Printing service uses AWS SQSand ION API to communicate with an Infor-provided, on-premise print client that passes the printrequests and print resources to the print engine InterFormNG at the customer's site.ION ConnectorION Connector controls a single connection to ION. The ION Connector service uses Infor MessagingService (IMS) to send and receive BOD messages to and from other applications that are connectedto ION. Under ION Connector, you can view the BOD communication with other applications. You cantest and reprocess inbound and outbound BODs.GlobalGlobal includes application-wide, non-tenant specific configuration data that is managed by Infor. Thisapplication-level data is stored in a separate database and cannot be modified by tenant users: Tenant configuration data Standard style sheets for the message transformation Standard print templates and dispatchers Global application properties Global code lists and codes that are maintained by InforYou can download and use standard style sheets and standard print templates to create your owncustomized templatesMaster DataMaster Data provides functions to manage code lists, codes, and master data for the currenttenant/customer.Infor CloudSuite Automotive Solution Overview 8

Core solutionCommunicationsCommunications provides functions to manage configuration data for a cloud-based CommunicationService Provider, or for an on-premise communication client.AlertsAlerts is a service that uses IMS for sending alerts to the ION Pulse Engine. The user receives thealert message in Infor Ming.le, or alternatively, by email.Infor Automotive Exchange runs in Infor Ming.le. Core solutionSupplier onboarding processWith supplier onboarding, a potential supplier can be invited to become an actual supplier. When thisprocess is completed in Supplier Exchange, a new business partner is created in LN CE with the foursupplier roles. This includes the creation of addresses for each role, of contacts related to the businesspartner, and of the primary contact for the buy-from role (only). The supplier onboarding process supports these capabilities: Onboarding invitationsPublic registrations to join a buyer’s supplier networkQuestions about company information, contacts, banks, categories, certificates, and agreementsSites, surveys, application approval and rejection processOnboarded supplier information integration with LN CESupplier self information update and integration with LN CERequest for quotation processThe request for quotation process includes these steps:1234Requests for quotation are created and printed in LN CE, and synced to Supplier Exchange. InSupplier Exchange, suppliers can view the RFQs they must take action on.After receipt of the RFQ, the supplier can specify responses or a no bid which can be sent to LNCE. The buyer can log into Supplier Exchange to review responses and negotiate. When the buyeror supplier accepts a negotiation proposal, the request for quotation response is updated in LNCE.In LN CE, the buyer can approve or reject the RFQ response. If the RFQ response is rejected, LNCE updates the supplier about the lost bid line. If the RFQ response is approved, the approval isupdated to Supplier Exchange. The RFQ response can be converted to a purchase order, purchase contract, price book, or acombination of these. During the conversion process in LN CE, the Supplier Exchange ResponseStatus is updated. If the response is converted to a purchase order, the Purchase Order is alsoupdated on the response.Standard purchase order processThe standard purchase order process includes these steps:12345Purchase orders are created in LN CE, synced to Supplier Exchange, and updated from SupplierExchange to LN CE.After receiving the purchase order, the supplier can start the negotiation process or directly startthe shipping procedure. When the buyer logs into Supplier Exchange to accept the proposal or theproposal is automatically approved, the purchase order is updated in LN CE.Based on all open purchase order lines, the supplier can specify a shipper, which is published asan Advanced Ship Notice (ASN) to LN CE.In LN CE, the ASNs are used during the receipt process. The receipt information is used in SupplierExchange to match against the ASN.Receipt delivery information is processed in LN CE and synced to Supplier Exchange.Infor CloudSuite Automotive Solution Overview 11

Core solution6Returning goods to the supplier is registered in LN CE as a purchase order with a return type.Based on this order, LN CE ships the goods to the supplier. To notify the supplier of the upcomingshipment, supplier RMA information is synced from LN CE to Supplier Exchange.Kanban and SMI-based purchase order processThe Kanban and SMI-based purchase order process includes these steps:12345The supplier determines when it is required to supply the warehouse.LN CE publishes inventory information to Supplier Exchange based on which Supplier Exchangeanalyzes when the supply is needed.Based on the settings in Supplier Exchange, the timing and the quantity of the next shipment isautomatically determined. The supplier is notified about the demand, and a shipper is created and published as an ASN toLN CE. Because the process is initiated by the supplier and is not based on a purchase order, nopurchase order reference is linked to this ASN.When the receipt process is started, a purchase order is generated for this type of ASN line. Thispurchase order is not used for the logistical process, but for the internal invoicing process. Theorder is published to Supplier Exchange, after which it is closed by the receipt message.Schedule-based processThe schedule based process includes these steps:1234The purchase releases created in LN CE are published to Supplier Exchange when the status ofthe release is Sent.In Supplier Exchange, schedules are created.Based on the purchase schedules, the supplier can create ASNs in Supplier Exchange.Based on the purchase schedules, the supplier can specify a shipper, which is published as anAdvanced Ship Notice (ASN) to LN CE.Implementation AcceleratorInfor Implementation Accelerator (IA) is a streamlined implementation methodology, managed by InforConsulting Services (ICS), that includes a solution to integrate all of your core processes.
