WORKING WEEKS Intro: In The Recipe for Success (2009), hundreds of high earners wereinterviewed and the author idenGfied 10 characterisGcs to gainsuccess. She termed these as the “tenth graK”, by which she meanspuMng in the hours.Task: What does a working week look like? Review your working week How many hours are you puMng in? Howdo you compare to your parents, or to the average UK worker? Planwhere you could get some extra hours from.

THE ENERGY LINE Many students feel overwhelmed by the amount of work they have to do at same Gme due tonever ending deadlines! As a result some students create lists and then cross off a job when it hasbeen completed. The problem is the list does not tell you what to do first! You should be using thesnow days to complete work for upcoming deadlines and preparing for your Pre-PublicExaminaGons (Year 13 Round 2 starts next week your teachers will have informed you ofindividual dates if you have a PPE and real examinaGons begin in May for some subjects. For Year12, you will all sit an end of Year PPE for all of your subjects in June). Task: Priori5sing your jobs in terms of how much effort is required is a good strategy to use.Does it require you to work really hard or can you relax a leave it un5l a later date? Now try this with your own jobs. Try and include coursework submissions dates to help yourprioriGse. Draw a table out like the one on the following slide, that was displayed in asswemblyand with post-it notes write down the jobs you have and put them in the relevant columns to helpyou organise where to start.
