It will not damage paint or leave sticky residue. A plastic pry tool is useful. It will not easily damage delicate trim like a screwdriver or metal pry bar. The replacement regulator should have a liberal amount of grease on slide area. If there is not much greasepresent, white lithium grease works well to lubricate the slide area. Aftermarket window tinting can cause the window to travel slower and put additional strain on the windowregulator assembly. Window run channels should be cleaned and lubricated before installation of a new window regulatorassembly. Silicone spray works well.Tools required for removal and installationof window regulator and motor assembly: PLEASE WEAR SAFETYGLASSES!Silicone spray lubricantTrim panel removal toolPickSaddle cup assembly, tape, or wedge tohold window in placeFlat-blade screwdriver or plastic pry tool10mm socket or driverPhillips screwdriverGrease pencil or marker3/8” drill and 3/8” drill bitQty. 3 of 1/4” x 20 x 1 1/2” bolts, qty. 6 of1/4” washers, and qty. 3 of 1/4” x 20 nutsInterior body fasteners (Dormanpart # 702-013)Disclaimer:Even though every attempt is made to ensure this information is complete and accurate, it is impossible to account for all possible circumstances or situations.
