1 Important safety and environmentalinstructionsThis section contains safety instructions that will helpprotect from risk of personal injury or property damage.Failure to follow these instructions shall void any warranty.1.1 General safety The dryer can be used by children at and above 8years old and by persons whose physical, sensory ormental capabilities were not fully developed or wholack experience and knowledge provided that they aresupervised or trained on the safe usage of the productand the risks it brings out. Children should not play withthe product. Cleaning and maintenance works should notbe performed by children unless they are supervised bysomeone. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unlesscontinously supervised. Adjustable feet should not be removed. (See 2.1Overview) The gap between the dryer and the floorshould not be reduced with materials such as carpet, woodand tape. This will cause problems with the dryer. Always have the installation and repairing procedurescarried out by the Authorised Service. Manufacturershall not be held liable for damages that may arise fromprocedures carried out by unauthorised persons. Important safety and environmental instructions1.1.1 Electrical safetyElectrical safety instructions should be followedwhile electrical connection is made during theinstallation. Connect the dryer to a grounded outlet protected by afuse at the value specified on the type label. (See 2.1Overview) Have the grounding installation performed bya qualified electrician. Our company shall not be liable forany damages that will arise when the dryer is used withoutgrounding in accordance with the local regulations. The voltage and allowed fuse protection is stated on thetype label plate. (See 2.1 Overview) The voltage specified on the type label must be equal toyour mains voltage. (See 2.1 Overview) Unplug the dryer when it is not in use. Unplug the dryer from the mains during installation,maintenance, cleaning and repair works. Do not touch the plug with wet hands! Never unplug bypulling on the cable, always pull out by grabbing the plug. Do not use extension cords, multi-plugs or adaptors toconnect the dryer to power supply in order to decrease therisk of fire and electric shock. Power cable plug must be easily accessible afterinstallation.Damaged mains cable should be changed by anAuthorised Service agent.If the dryer is faulty, it must not be operated unlessit is repaired by an authorised service agent! Important safety and environmental instructions1.1.2 Product safety Superheating of the clothes inside of the dryer canoccur if you cancel the programme or in the eventof a power failure whilst the dryer is running, thisconcentration of heat can cause self-combustionand fire so always activate the ventilationprogramme to cool down or quickly remove alllaundry from the dryer in order to hang them upand dissipate the heat.Points to be taken into consideration for firehazard:Below specified laundry or items must not be driedin the dryer because of fire hazard. Unwashed laundry items Items soiled with oil, acetone, alcohol, fuel oil,kerosene, stain removers, turpentine, paraffin orsolvents must be washed in hot water with plentyof detergent before being dried in the dryer.6 / ENDryer / User Manual

Important safety and environmental instructionsBelow specified laundry or items must not bedried in the dryer due to the fire hazard: Garments or pillows bolstered with rubber foam(latex foam), shower caps, water resistant textiles,materials with rubber reinforcement and rubberfoam pads. Clothing cleaned with industrial chemicals.Items such as lighters, matches, coins, metal parts,needle etc. may damage the drum set or may leadto functional problems. Therefore check pockets offthe laundry that you will load into your dryer.Never stop your dryer before the programmecompletes. If you must do this, remove all laundryquickly and lay them out to dissipate the heat.Clothes that are washed inadequately may ignite ontheir own and even may ignite after drying ends. You must provide enough ventilation in order to preventgases exiting from devices operating with other types offuels including the naked flame from accumulating in theroom due to the back fire effect.Dryer / User Manual7 / EN

Important safety and environmental instructionsClothing that contains metal reinforcements shouldnot be driedin the dryer. Dryer may be damaged if metalreinforcements come loose and break off duringdrying.Use softeners and similar products in accordancewith the instructions of their manufacturers.Always clean the lint filter before or after eachloading. Never operate the dryer without the lintfilter installed. Never attempt to repair the dryer by yourself. Do notperform any repair or replacement procedures on theproduct even if you know or have the ability to performthe required procedure unless it is clearly suggested in theoperating instructions or the published service manual.Otherwise, you will be putting your life and others’ lives indanger. There must not be a lockable, sliding or hinged door thatmay block the opening of the loading door in the placewhere your dryer is to be installed. Install your dryer in a suitable place that is dry, wellventilated and unlikely to get below 5 degrees Centigrade. Make sure that pets do not enter the dryer. Check theinside of the dryer before operating it. Do not lean on the loading door of your dryer when it isopen, otherwise it may fall over. Important safety and environmental instructions1.2 Mounting over a washing machine A fixing device should be used between the two machineswhen installing the dryer above a washing machine. Thefitting device can be obtained through spare part suppliers. Total weight of the washing machine and the dryer -withfull load- when they are placed on top of each otherreaches to approx. 180 kilograms. Electrical products are dangerous for the children. Keepchildren away from the product when it is operating. Donot let them tamper with the dryer. Use the child-prooflock in order to prevent the children to tamper with thedryer.CChild-proof lock is on the control panel. (See Childlock) Keep loading door closed even when the dryer is not inuse.1.5 Compliance with the WEEE regulation and disposing of thewaste productThis product does not contain the harmful and prohibited substances which arespecified in the “Control of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment” as published by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. It complieswith the WEEE Directive.This product was made of high quality items and materials which are recyclableand reusable. Therefore, do not dispose of the product at the end of its service lifewith the domestic and other wastes. Take it to a collection point for the recycling ofelectrical and electronic equipment. Please consult your local authorities to learn the nearestcollection point. Help protect the environment and natural resources by recycling used products. 3 InstallationBefore the calling the nearest AuthorizedService for the installation of the dryer, ensure that electrical installation and waterdrain is appropriate referring to the user'smanual.(See 3.3 Connecting to the drain and3.5 Electrical connection) If they are notsuitable, contact a qualified electrician andtechnician to make necessary arrangements.CAPreparation of the dryer's locationas well as the electrical andwaste water installations is undercustomer's responsibility.Prior to installation, visually checkif the dryer has any defects on it. Ifthe drier is damaged, do not haveit installed. Damaged productscause risks for your safety.BDo not place the dryer on thepower cable.3.2 Removing thetransportation safety assemblyARemove the transportation safetyassembly before using the dryerfor the first time.ACheck that no part of thetransportation safety assemblyremains inside the drum.Open the loading door.There is a nylon bag inside the drum thatcontains a piece of styrofoam. Hold it from itssection marked with XX XX.Pull the nylon towards yourself and removethe transportation safety assembly.3.1 Appropriate installationlocationInstall the dryer on a stable and level surface.Dryer is heavy. Do not move it by yourself. Operate your dryer in a well ventilated,dust-free environment. The gap between the dryer and thesurface should not be reduced by thematerials such as carpet, wood and tape. Do not cover the ventilation grills of thedryer. There must not be a lockable, sliding orhinged door that may block the openingof the loading door in the place whereyour dryer is to be installed. Once the dryer is installed, it should stayat the same place where its connectionshave been made. When installing thedryer, make sure that its rear wall doesnot touch anywhere (tap, socket, etc.). Place the dryer at least 1 cm away fromthe edges of other furniture. Your dryer can be operated attemperatures between 5 C and 35 C.If the operating conditions fall outsideof this range, operation of the dryerwill be adversely affected and it can getdamaged. The rear surface of the tumble dryer shallbe placed against a wall.14 / EN3.3 Connecting to the drainIn products equipped with condenser unit,water accumulates in the water tank duringthe drying cycle. You should drain accumulated water after each drying cycle.You can directly drain accumulated waterthrough the water drain hose supplied withthe product instead of periodically drainingthe water collected in the water tank.Please refer to the detailed instructions supplied with the accessories pack.Connecting the water drain hose1-2 Pull hose at the behind of the dryer byhand in order to disconnect it from whereit is connected. Do not use any tools toremove the hose.3 Connect one end of the drain hosesupplied with the dryer to the connectionpoint from where you removed the hoseof the product in previous step.Dryer / User Manual

Installation4Connect the other end of the drain hosedirectly to the wastewater drain or to thewashbasin.12CNever unscrew the adjustable feetfrom their housings.3.5 Electrical connectionFor specific instructions for electrical connection required during installation (See 1.1.1Electrical Safety)3.6 Transportation of the dryer34Unplug the dryer before transporting it.Drain all water that has remained in the dryer.If direct water drain connection is made, thenremove the hose connections.We recommend carrying thedryer in upright position. If it isnot possible to carry the machinein the upright position, werecommend carrying it by tiltingtowards the right side whenlooked from the front.AACCHose connection should be madein a safe manner. Your drain housewill be flooded if the hose comesout of its housing during waterdischarge.Water drain hose should beattached to a height of maximum100 cm.Make sure that the water drainhose is not stepped on and it isnot folded between the drain andthe machine.3.4 Adjusting the feetIn order to ensure that the dryer operatesmore silently and vibration-free, it must standlevel and balanced on its feet. Balance themachine by adjusting the feet.Turn the feet to left or right until the dryerstands level and firmly.Dryer / User Manual3.7 Changing the illuminationlampIn case an illumination lamp is used in yourlaundry dryer.To change the Bulb/LED usedfor illumination of your tumble dryer, call yourAuthorized Service.The lamp(s) used in this appliance is not suitable for household room illumination. Theintended purpose of this lamp is to assist theuser to place laundry in the tumble dryer in acomfortable way. The lamps used in this appliance have to withstand extreme physicalconditions such as vibrations and temperatures above 50 C.15 / EN
