Course Description:ELE 520 is a survey of teaching course designed for post baccalaureate students seeking initial certificationthat focuses on the knowledge base necessary to teach effectively in Texas public schools. The course isweb-based and requires knowledge and use of technology.Prerequisites: Acceptance into the Masters Program or Alternative Certification Program and teachereducation is required.Note: This web-based course focuses on the knowledge-base necessary to teach effectively in Texas publicschools. It provides students with an overview of the many facets of teaching and prepares the candidate toassume the roles and responsibilities of being a teacher.
