Résumé Content Contact Information: Include your LinkedIn, website and othersocial media addresses. (Just don’t overdo it) Job Title: Place the Job title at the top of the résumé, underyour contact information Summary: Write a statement that answers the question:“Why should I hire you?” Employment History: Provide 10 years of work history (15 yearsif relevant) Accomplishments: Quantify when possible in terms of “ , #, %”(Accomplishments are always written in the past tense even in a current job) Key Words: Read job descriptions for your occupation and getthe reoccurring key words and phrases in your résumé Abbreviations: Spell out abbreviations and acronyms (whenfirst used) Proof Read: Check several times for spelling and grammaticalerrors. Then ask someone else to proof read your résumé
