Floor mat installationUse only floor mats designed specifically for vehicles of the same model andmodel year as your vehicle. Smart Access System with Push-button StartThe following operations can be performed simply by carrying the electronic keyon your person, for example in your pocket. The driver should always carry theelectronic key.F d ilihi22n Entering and exiting the vehicle1 Grip the driver’s door handle tounlock the door. Grip the passenger’s door handle to unlock all thedoors.*Make sure to touch the sensor onthe back of the handle.The doors cannot be unlocked for3 seconds after the doors arelocked.*: The door unlock settings can bechanged.2 Touch the lock sensor (the indentation on the upper part of the doorhandle) to lock all the doors.Check that the door is securelylocked.n Opening the trunkPress the button.If the vehicle is equipped with powertrunk opener and closer, the trunk lidautomatically opens fully.For details on what to do when the electronic key does not operate properly, seepage 108.15ES350 QG OM33B82U (U)

Theft Deterrent Systemn Engine immobilizer systemThe indicator light flashes after theengine switch has been turned off toindicate that the system is operating.The indicator light stops flashing afterthe engine switch has been turned toACCESSORY or IGNITION ON modeto indicate that the system has been canceled.n AlarmThe alarm uses light and sound to give an alert when an intrusion is detected.To set the alarm:Close the doors, trunk and hood, and lock all the doors. The system will be set automatically after 30 seconds.The indicator light changes from being on to flashing when the system is set.To deactivate or stop the alarm:l Unlock the doors or open the trunk.l Turn the engine switch to ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode, or start theengine. Driving Position Memory (if equipped)This feature automatically adjusts the front seats, steering wheel (power adjustment type) and outside rear view mirrors to suit your preferences.n Driving position memoryn Recording procedure1 Check that the shift lever is in P.2 Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.3 Adjust the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and outside rear view mirrors to thedesired positions.4While pressing the “SET” button, orwithin 3 seconds after the “SET” buttonis pressed, press button “1”, “2” or “3”until the buzzer sounds.If the selected button has alreadybeen preset, the previously recordedposition will be overwritten.n Recall procedure1 Check that the shift lever is in P.2 Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.319ES350 QG OM33B82U (U)Press one of the buttons for the drivingposition you want to recall until thebuzzer sounds.

Outside Rear View Mirrors1 Selects a mirror to adjust (“L”: leftor “R”: right)2 Adjust the mirror up, down, in orout using the switchn Folding the mirrorsPush the mirror back in the direction ofthe vehicle’s rear.n Linked mirror function when reversingWhen the mirror select switch is in the L or R position, the outside rear view mirrorswill automatically angle downwards when the vehicle is reversing in order to give abetter view of the ground.To disable this function, move the mirror select switch to the neutral position(between L and R).n Adjusting the mirror angle when the vehicle is reversingWith the shift lever in R, adjust the mirror angle at a desired position. The adjustedangle will be memorized and the mirror will automatically tilt to the memorizedangle whenever the shift lever is shifted to R from next time.The memorized downward tilt position of the mirror is linked to the normal position (angle adjusted with the shift lever in other than R). Therefore, if the normalposition is changed after adjustment, the tilt position will also change. When thenormal position is changed, readjust the angle in reversing.21ES350 QG OM33B82U (U)

Engine (Ignition) SwitchPerforming the following operations when carrying the electronic key on yourperson starts the engine or changes engine switch modes.n Starting the engine1 Check that the parking brake is set.2 Check that the shift lever is set in P.3 Firmly depress the brake pedal.will be displayed on themulti-information display. n If your vehicle has to be stopped in an emergencyOnly in an emergency, such as if it becomes impossible to stop the vehicle in thenormal way, stop the vehicle using the following procedure:1 Steadily step on the brake pedal with both feet and firmly depress it.Do not pump the brake pedal repeatedly as this will increase the effort requiredto slow the vehicle.2 Shift the shift lever to N.If the shift lever is shifted to N3 After slowing down, stop the vehicle in a safe place by the road.4 Stop the engine.If the shift lever cannot be shifted to N3 Keep depressing the brake pedal with both feet to reduce vehicle speed as muchas possible.To stop the en
