Pizzagalli and two of his sons, Angeloand Remo, founded Pizzagalli Pre-Cast Stone to handlemasonry construction and manufacture cut stone. Fromthe beginning, the Pizzagalli family infused its companywith strong core values.The company quickly expandedinto residential and remodelingprojects, necessitating a namechange to Pizzagalli ConstructionCompany in 1960. Upon thedeath of Angelo G., the masonryoperation was phased out andfocus shifted to commercial,industrial and institutionalbuilding projects.With Angelo and Remo at thehelm and younger brother Jimjoining the team, the companygrew by leaps and boundsover the next few years. Theyattracted expert constructionprofessionals with diversebackgrounds and formed a teamthat would become Vermont’slargest construction company by1964.
