If exhibitor is less than 18 years of age, include your ageand your parent signature where indicated. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification of the entry.Special Rules and Regulations for Home Arts(See General Rules for further instruction)1. Unlimited Entries are allowed for all classes unless specified. Premiums are limited to the top 2 per class perexhibitor.2. No exhibit will be accepted unless there is a division and class listed in the exhibitor handbook. Exhibitors aresolely responsible for deciding on the proper division and class for their entry. Entries improperly classified will notbe changed or judged. Refunds will not be issued for items incorrectly entered by the exhibitor or for juried outentries.3. All work must be the handiwork of the exhibitor and have been created within the past two years.4. Entries will not be accepted, judged, or exhibited if they are stained, soiled or unsanitary. Must be free of pet odorand dog hair.5. The subject matter for each entry must be appropriate for the family nature of the Fair (no nudity or violence).6. Entries cannot be double entered. One class per entry.7. Exhibitor must be an Arizona resident for at least six months of the calendar year.8. All entries may not be displayed based on variety and space available. Coordinator will make final decisionregarding placement.9. It shall be at the sole discretion of the judges whether the entries are awarded First, Second, Third or HonorableMention and corresponding premium money. At the discretion of the judges and Coordinator, classes may becombined where closely related, provided an insufficient number of entries in any one class does not provideadequate competition. No division or class may be reopened after the judging is finished.10. Only the judges’ books will be used as evidence for payment of premiums. Ribbons or tags are not accepted asproof of results.11. Judging is closed to the public.12. The decision of the judges shall in all cases be final.13. All entries must be picked up during designated pick-up times. Due to lack of storage, items not picked up by thedeadline will be charged a 25 handling fee and a 1/day storage fee. Items not collected within 30 days will bedonated or removed from the Fair Grounds.14. All items may only be entered ONE time in the Arizona State Fair.15. Sewing will be judged by the following guidelines:a. Garment needs to be clean and odor free.b. Gathering threads need to be removed.c. Garments cannot have rips or tears.d. Zippers need to be neatly installed.e. Seams do not need to be serged.16. Thread used should be the same color throughout. Items may be marked for sale on entry form. Prices are notnegotiable. The fair will handle the sale and deduct 10%. Money for sold items will be mailed in a separate checkfrom fair premiums within 30 days of the closing of fair.Page 2 of 11
