During and after use, do not touch, or letclothing or other flammable materials contactheating elements or interior surfaces of ovenuntil they have sufficient time to cool. Use care when opening oven door, lower ovendoor, or warmer drawer (some models). Stand tothe side of the oven when opening the door of ahot oven. Let hot air or steam escape before youremove or replace food in the oven. Keep oven vent ducts clear. Touching surfaces inthis area when the oven is on may cause severeburns. Do not place plastic or heat-sensitive itemson or near the oven vent. These items can melt orignite. Always handle oven racks when the oven is cool.Place oven racks in desired positions while theoven is cool. if a rack must be moved while theoven is hot, use extreme caution. Use potholdersand grasp the rack with both hands to reposition.Do not let potholders contact the hot heatingelements in the oven. Remove all bakeware andutensils before moving the rack.Do not use a broiler pan without its insert. Broilerpans and inserts allow dripping fat to drain awayfrom the high heat of the broiler. Do not cover thebroiler insert with aluminum foil; exposed fat andgrease could ignite. Do not use aluminum foil or other protective linersto line the oven bottom. Only use aluminum foil asrecommended in this manual. Improper installationof these liners may result in risk of electric shock orfire. Do not cook food on the oven bottom. Always cookin proper bakeware and always use the over racksIMPORTANTProper Installation—Be sure your appliance isproperly installed and grounded by a qualified technician in accordance with the National ElectricalCode ANSI/NFPA No. 70 latest edition and localelectrical code requirements. In Canada, install inaccordance with CSA Standard C22.1, CanadianElectrical code, Part 1, and local electrical coderequirements. Install only per installation instructionsprovided in the literature package for this oven.User Servicing—Do not repair or replace any part ofthe appliance unless specifically recommended inthe manuals. All other servicing should be done onlyby a qualified technician. This reduces the risk ofpersonal injury and damage to the oven.Ask your dealer to recommend a qualified technicianand an authorized repair service. Know how todisconnect the power to the oven at the circuitbreaker or fuse box in case of an emergency.Never modify or alter the construction of an oven byremoving the leveling legs, panels, wire covers, antitip brackets/screws, or any other part of the oven.Remove the oven door from any unused oven if it isto be stored or discarded.Do not attempt to operate the oven during a powerfailure. If the power fails, always turn off the oven. Ifthe oven is not turned off and the power resumes,the oven will begin to operate again. Once thepower resumes, reset the clock and oven function.Cold temperatures can damage the electroniccontrol. When using this appliance for the first time,or when the appliance has not been used for anextended period of time, be sure the appliance hasbeen in temperatures above 32ºF (0ºC) for at least 3hours before turning on the power to the appliance.Be sure to have an appropriate foam-type fire extinguisher available, visible, and easily accessiblelocated near the appliance.5

Do not allow grease toaccumulate.Always follow the manufacturer’s recommendeddirections for use of kitchen cleaners and aerosols.Be aware that excess residue from cleaners andaerosols may ignite causing damage and injury.Clean ventilating hoods frequently. Grease shouldnot be allowed to accumulate on the hood or filter.Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaninghoods.SELF CLEANING OVENS Use the self clean cycle to clean only the partslisted in this manual. Before using self clean,remove the broiler pan, any food, utensils, andbakeware from the oven. Remove oven racksunless otherwise instructed. Do not use oven cleaners. No commercial ovencleaner, oven liner, or protective coating of anykind should be used in or around any part of theoven. Do not clean the oven door gasket. The doorgasket is essential for a good seal. Do not rub,damage, or move the gasket. Some birds are extremely sensitive to the fumesgiven off during the self clean cycle of any oven.Move birds to another well-ventilated room.6WARNINGAvoid fire hazard or electrical shock. Do not use anadapter plug or an extension cord, or removegrounding prong from the power cord. Failure tofollow this warning may cause serious injury, fire, ordeath.See the installation instructions packaged with thisappliance for complete installation and groundinginstructions.GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONSDo not use an adapter plug or an extension cord, orremove grounding prong from the power cord. This ventingis necessary for proper air circulation in the oven and goodbaking results. When cooking, the oven interior and exterior, aswell as the oven racks, will become very hot which cancause burns. Flat oven racks (or the flat handle oven rack) may beused for most cooking needs and may be placed inmost oven rack positions. The offset oven rack (some models) provides additionalstepdown positions from the standard flat rack design.The offset design positions the base of the rack abouthalf of a rack position lower than the flat rack and maybe used in most oven rack positions.Air circulation in the ovenWARNINGProtective Liners — Do not use aluminum foil to line theoven bottom. Only use aluminum foil as recommended inthis manual. Improper installation of these liners mayresult in risk of electric shock or fire.Removing, replacing, and arranging flat or offsetoven racksFor best air circulation when baking, allow a space of2 inches (5 cm) around the cookware for proper air circulation. Be sure pans and cookware do not touch each other,the oven door, sides, or back of the oven cavity.Hot air must be able to circulate evenly around thebakeware to reach the food and give the best bakingresults.To arrange - Always arrange the oven racks when the ovenis cool (prior to operating the oven).To remove - Pull the oven rack straight forward until itreaches the stop position. Lift up front of oven rack slightlyand slide out.To replace - Place the oven rack on the rack guides on bothsides of oven walls. Tilt the front of oven rack upwardslightly and slide the oven rack back into place. Be sureoven racks are level before using.7

OVEN CONTROLSSetting The ClockThe set clock key is used to set the clock. The clock maybe set for 12 or 24 hour time of day operation. The clockwas preset at the factory for 12 hour operation. When therange is first plugged in, or when the power supply to therange has been interrupted, the timer in the display willflash. To set the clock (example below for 1:30)1. Press set clock. CLO will appear in the display.2. Press 1 3 0 to set the time of day to 1:30. CLO will stayin the display.3. Press start. CLO will disappear and the clock will start.The clock must be set for the oven to operate. If you have apower interruption of any kind remember to set the clockwhen power is restored. When programming a delay startmake sure the clock is set to the correct time of day.Changing Between 12 or 24 Hour Time of DayOperation1. Press and hold set clock for 6 seconds. CLO willappear in the display.2. Continue holding the key until 12Hr dAY or 24Hr dAYappears in the display and the control beeps once.3. Press self clean to switch between the 12 and 24 hourtime of day display. The display will show either 12HrdAY or 24Hr dAY.4. Press start to accept the change or press off to rejectthe change.5. Reset the correct time as described above in Settingthe Clock instructions. If the 24 hour time of day modewas chosen, the clock will display time from 0:00through 23:59 hours.Setting Continuous Bake or 6 Hour Energy SavingThe timer and self clean keys control the Continuos Bakeor 6 Hour Energy Saving features. The oven control has afactory preset 6 Hour Energy Saving feature that will shutoff the oven if the oven control is left on for more than 6hours. The oven can be programmed to override thisfeature for Continuous Baking.Setting the control for Continuous Bake or 6 HourEnergy Saving:1. Press and hold timer for 6 seconds. After 6 seconds6Hr OFF or StAY On will appear in the display and thecontrol will beep once.2. Press self clean to switch between the 6 Hour EnergySaving and Continuous Bake features.3. Press start to accept the change (display will return totime of day) or press off to reject the change.6Hr OFF indicates the control is set for the 6 Hour EnergySaving mode. StAY On indicates the control is set for theContinuous Bake feature.Setting Temperature Display in Fahrenheit orCelsiusThe broil and self clean keys control the Fahrenheit orCelsius temperature display modes. The oven has beenpreset at the factory to display in Fahrenheit.To change display from Fahrenheit to Celsius orCelsius to Fahrenheit:1. To tell if the display is set for Fahrenheit or Celsiuspress broil and hold it for 6 seconds; 550 will appearand broil will flash in the display and a beep will sound.If FAhrnht appears, the display is set to show temperatures in Fahrenheit. If CELSIUS appears, the display isset to show temperatures in Celsius.2. Press self clean to switch between Fahrenheit orCelsius display modes. The display will show eitherFAhrnht or CELSIUS.3. Press start to accept the change or press off to rejectthe change.Setting Silent Control OperationThe delay start and self clean keys control the SilentControl operation feature. This
