The position is ideal for a recent or soon to be digital media, graphic design,creative arts, or visual communications graduate looking for experience in a wide spectrum of marketing, creativeand digital outputs. Casting a wide net to compliment the skillset of the creative team, the position is flexible inhours and areas of specialty. We are looking for those with a passion in one, or several of the following: graphicdesign, social media, copywriting/content, film/production, photography, and SEO/SEM. About the marketing and creative team: The 3 person marketing and creative team works together withcomplimenting skill sets to deliver the organisations marketing and design needs. The team supports the needsand requests of roughly 10 recreation locations and 25 OSHC’s/ELC’s (ranging from program promotion tointegrated membership campaigns and everything in-between). In addition to retail/consumer-oriented marketing,the team also fulfils the organisations business-to-business strategies including tender preparation andcommunications to the 600 YMCA South Australia team.KeyAccountabilitiesKey TasksGraphic Design Digital & Social Production of marketing collateral such as posters, brochures, website and emarketing graphics, print and digital advertisements, signage and more Production of a variety of design work required by internal departments and sitesbased on both design briefs and abstract concepts/ideas Design and assist with executing marketing initiatives (on brand and to agreedtimelines):o Brand strategy / awareness / communicationo Major campaigns (concept, collateral)o Program marketing initiatives (e.g. swim lessons, social sports, PT, EP)o Business-to-business marketing initiatives (whitepapers, EDM’s,presentations) Marketing &Creative Translate all design and marketing initiatives on social media channels (Facebook,Instagram, LinkedIn), including paid advertising.Assist sites to ensure best-practice social media presence and engagement,ensuring a mix of professionally design/curated content along with organic sitecontent.Assume a digital first approach to member communication and sales, proactivelyidentifying and executing opportunities to use digital channels (social media,EDM’s, websites, Apps, etc).Ensure the delivery of quality, engaging content and multimedia for websites,social media, campaigns and a range of other applications across the organisationEither directly deliver, or contribute towards:o SEO and website copyo SEM and reporting (analytics/Data Studio)Either directly deliver, or provide direction for ad-hoc video filming/productionand/or photography.Be an organisational resource for ad-hoc marketing, social media andcommunications advice and solutionsLiaise with external suppliers including printers and advertising agencies asrequiredEnact operational improvement and best practice thinking to the marketing team,graphic design processes, and product/service CX.Form part of the tender response team from a design perspectiveEnsure all design files and image files are maintained and archivedPerform any other duties that are reasonably within competency, skills and trainingof the incumbent as may be directed from time to time and comply with reasonabledirectionsVersion Date: 08.07.2021Position Description: Junior Digital Media DesignerPage 2 of 5
