2. Past PerformanceWorking on Multiple Projects Simultaneously:Caliente typically has over 200 JOC/Task Order projectsrunning simultaneously and we have an exceptionalability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Ourproject values range from a few thousand dollars up to 20,000,000. We perform work throughout the State ofArizona under our Statewide, Maricopa County Parks andRecreation contract and the State Parks and Trails JOC, andprovide services in seven states for one of our industrialclients. Our approach is based on management of resources, careful in-house planning, scheduling, and working closelywith our owners to identify and schedule work. One ofthe specific strategies we may use is assigning a generalsuperintendent to oversee multiple superintendents and/orforemen. This approach ensures the client has an in-fieldpoint of contact and every project has a Caliente teammember available after hours as well as during daytimeinspections. All of our field staff are equipped with cell phones andMicrosoft Surface devices allowing them to access projectfiles and communicate real time information throughout theteam, which creates operational efficiency.Another resource is our large database of pre-qualifiedsubcontractor firms. Our established relationships withreliable subcontractors means we can efficiently performsimultaneous or concurrent job orders at many locations.requirements, as well as locations for parking andstaging. Developing an in-depth knowledge of yourfacilities and maintaining a collaborative relationshipwith your campus customers is critical. Thisinformation enables us to rapidly develop a suitablework plan and mobilize quickly on each job order. Given the parameters of working in occupied facilities, our project schedule may be built around off-hourswork and multiple shifts. Depending upon scheduleand scope considerations we may also schedule workduring weekends, over holidays, and other schoolbreaks maximizing work opportunities when facilitiesare the least impacted. When multiple shifts are utilizedwe typically have our general superintendent or daytime superintendent act as a liaison with key facilitypersonnel to conduct a daily debrief, site inspection, and ensure your facilities are clean and ready to resumeoperations each day.“Since March of 2010 Caliente Construction has built fourprojects for Legacy Traditional School. To build four on timeprojects in five months ranging from Tucson to Queen Creekrequired significant coordination and effort. We are pleasedwith the quality and finish of these projects and feel thatCaliente gave us super human effort. We would recommendthem to you for your next project, especially if time and costare factors.”Dan Bang, CEOLegacy Traditional SchoolsWorking During Limited Time Frames: 90% ofCaliente’s projects, particularly those under our JOCcontracts, are performed in an occupied environment wherework hours are typically restricted to specific time frames. For example, the majority of our educational projectstake place during school breaks, holidays, off-hours or onweekends. Our strategies include:2.4 Identify the number of JOC projects completedover the past three years and provide the followinginformation: (does not include industrial client task orders) 2.4.3 Projects between 100,001 – 250,000: 53 Working closely with BESD to identify projects, developthorough work scopes and quickly provide pricing.Having a good scope and cost information preventsdelays and enables us to complete our projects withinshort time frames.Careful pre-construction planning Oursuperintendents work very closely with campuspersonnel (facility, maintenance, security, IT) tounderstand campus protocols, hours of operation, holidays, and breaks plus security and access2.4.1 Project between 1.00 – 50,000: 1402.4.2 Projects between 50,001 – 100,000: 482.4.4 Projects between 250,001 – 500,000: 352.4.5 Projects between 500,001 – 1,000,000: 312.4.6 Projects over 1,000,000: 202.4.7 Indicate how many of these projects werecompleted and quoted using a Unit Price Book: 472.4.8 Indicate how many of these projects werecompleted and quoted using Open Book Pricing: 280Buckeye Elementary School District No. 33 RFQ #17-0035
