The TRF laser therefore givessuperior signal-to-noise ratios and exceptionally fastmeasurement times – less than 36 seconds for a 1536well plate, including loading times.Lanthanides such as Europium decay slowly. In TRF, measurement is delayedafter excitation until background emissions have died down (blue: excitationpulse (laser); yellow: fluorescence signal from lanthanide; red: detectionperiod). In addition, emissions are redshifted, further reducing noise.Eu-labeled ULight-labeledProteinProteinLANCE Ultra assay principle: LANCE Ultra uses a Europium (Eu) chelatedonor dye, and a small, redshifted ULight acceptor dye.
