It accuratelyF to 400 F (-29 C to 205 C), and a flow rate capacity of 6 to 90measures viscous, waxy, corrosive and abrasive liquids to withinUSGPM based on 20 API gravity oil. 1% maximum uncertainty.Standard connections include 1” female and 2” or 3” male NPTThe Series F meter measures liquid by separating it into equalthreads. Raised face and ring joint flanges can also be supplied.portions and counting them. Liquid enters the meter throughStandard units for registering totals are US gallons, 42-gallon barrels, the inlet port, where the bridge deflects the liquid downwardliters or cubic meters.to strike the rotor blades and turn the rotor. The liquid thenpasses through the outlet port, which is aligned with theinlet port. The unique rotor design allows solid particles andsediment to pass through the meter without causing damageSeries F meters are available with Buna-N , Viton or Teflon components for compliance with process demands, and a long lifebetween maintenance cycles.or malfunction. Bridge seals prevent the liquid from passingto the outlet port without being measured. As the process fluid viscosity increases the measurementperformance of the Floco also increases. The enhancementis most notable in the capability to measure low flow rates.Because of this many process fluids can be measured at lowerrates than published.Key Features Unpowered mechanical operation Suited to viscous fluids laden with solids 25,000 cP upper viscosity limit Optional integral sampler Optional electronic output

Almost all spare partsare interchangeable among Series F models.A wide variety of liquids can be metered with the Series F meter, including heavy oil (25,000 centistokes max),asphalt emulsion, brine, bunker C oil, crude oil, kerosene, liquid fertilizers, paraffin, refined oils and water.Body and SideplatesThe meter body is A216 WCB cast steel with amaximum hardness of HRC22.The Series F meter does not requirethe installation of straight-run pipeupstream or downstream of themeter. The meter can be installed in anyposition and the register can be rotated in twoplanes for optimal visibility. The sideplates are A105 forged steel. The numberand type of sideplate bolts determines the safeworking pressure of the meter, as shown in the table below. All meters are compliant with ASME B31.1 & B31.3requirements. When equipped with NACE bolts, Series Fmeters are compliant with NACE MR0175/ISO 15156: 2009revision. All meters supplied with flanged end connectionsutilize slip-on flanges as standard. Optional weldneck flangesfor B31.1 compliance are available. All flanged connections arewelded per ASME Section IX procedures.ConstructionThe Series F meter consists of four basic parts:body, rotor, sideplates and register (with gear caseSafe Working PressureModelNumber of Boltsper rd (A574 or SAE Grade 8)Safe Working Pressure(psi)(Mpa)7505.2F-50043/8NACE (A320 L7M & A193 B7M)4252.9F-250083/8Standard (A574 or SAE Grade 8)150010.3F-250083/8NACE (A320 L7M & A193 B7M)8505.9F-250087/16Standard (A574)200013.8F-250087/16NACE (A564)150010.3Liner and WearplatesBody parts subject to mechanical wear or fluid abrasion aredesigned for economical field replacement. The body liner andside wearplates are constructed of polished 316 stainless steel toassure a low-friction seal with the rotor blades. Wearplates arereversible for extended life.BridgeThe bridge is available in either Delrin or 316 stainlesssteel. Delrin is a plastic material that can withstand chemicalattack and temperatures to 180 F (82 C). Alternatively,316 stainless steel is extremely resistant to abrasive andhigh-temperature fluids.Bridge seals are constructed of Viton.BearingsBearing selection should be based on the following guidelines: A luminum Bronze – General bearing, durable in mostapplications including crude oil2 M eehanite – Recommended for use with abrasive process fluid, which is often apparent by indications of severe wear on the rotorshaft C arbon Graphite – Recommended for use where yellow metals arenot acceptable or where the process fluid has very low lubricity G lass-Filled Teflon – Recommended for use where other materialsfail due to chemical attackRotorThe rotor, which is the measuring element of the flow meter, isconstructed of 316 stainless steel and has chrome-plated shaft endsfor bearing surfaces. The standard rotor hub is made of non-clad 316stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance. An optional rotor hubis clad with a Viton or Buna-N elastomer for improved flow at verylow flow rates. The spring-loaded blades are made of a stainless steelsubstrate with a Buna-N, Viton, or Teflon covering.

RegistersThe register and gear case assembly, featuring a 316 stainless steelproven magnetic coupling design, is sealed from contact with themetered liquid for accurate registration and long life. All registers display flow totals in seven digits with the resolutionindicated in the table below. A standard sweep hand provides 10times greater resolution than that shown. Reset registers have twodisplays: one reset and one small-digit non-reset. The displaysfeature 1/4” digits for good visibility.Available RegistersSeries F Meter with Flanged Ends (in.)Face-to-Face, Raised Face or Ring Joint MetersMeter Size11150 or 300 ANSI600 ANSI900 ANSI2111213-1/23121313-1/2Flanged ends are not commonly available on 1” meters.SpecificationsCommon Trim ConfigurationsUnitsResolutionInternalsStandardHigh Temp.NACEUS Gallons (1” and 2”)1 galUS Gallons (3” only)10 galMaximumTemperature180 F (80 C)300 F (150 C)410 F (210 C)optional180 F (80 arrels (42 US gal)0.1 bblLiters10 litersCubic Meters0.01 cubic metersMaintenanceBridgeDelrinStainless SteelDelrinFloco meters can be serviced without being removed from theline, and without special tools or training. Floco Automatic SamplersThe Floco Automatic Sampler is an accessory to the Flocometer that provides proportional-to-flow sampling of fluids asthey are metered. The sampler is used to determine the fluidquality which aids in determining:obe preferred for their transparency, ease of cleaning andimmunity to static electricity charge. Plastic receptaclesmay be preferred for their shatter resistance.o Easy The ratio of oil and water being producedadaption to large-capacity remotemounted receivers, including those usedwith sour fluids. Cameron’s CLIF MOCK receivers are available in capacitiesup to five gallons and include floatoperated full bottle shut-offs. They areavailable in plastic or stainless steel. The stainless steel containers include amechanical level gauge. The ratio of dissolved gasses in heavy oil The physical and chemical properties of the flowing fluidAs defined by API and ISO, the proportional-to-flow techniqueis superior to manual-grab sampling or automatic samplingbased on time or event in producing representative results.Proportional-to-flow sampling is achieved by automaticallyextracting a series of small, consistently sized samples from theflowing stream. The sample size is easily adjusted and thesample interval can be adjusted by changing a gear within thesampler. The Floco sampler is extraordinarily economical to install. Itmounts on the side of a Floco meter and is mechanically drivenby a gear train connected to the flow-driven rotor within themeter. The sample is typically stored in a container mountedon the sampler. The container is vented locally, thereforeentrained or dissolved gas and light hydrocarbons with vaporpressures higher than atmospheric pressure will break out ofsolution and be lost to atmosphere. To avoid exposingpersonnel to toxic vapors, never use this container forsour fluids. The Floco Sampler is available in two models: T he FRA Sampler can be attached to an F-500 Floco meterand is limited to a 500 psi safe working pressure. It is ideally suited for retrofitting in-situmeters to provide the necessary electronic output associatedwith an automation or SCADA project. The transmitter consistsof a gear-like target that is driven by the Floco meter andmounted within the magnetic field of a standard turbine flowmeter pick-up coil. As the teeth of the gear pass under thepick-up coil, an electronic pulse is generated in the sameway the movement of the rotor blades of a turbine metergenerates a pulse. The FPT can generate up to 126 pulses perUS gallon for any 1” or 2” Floco meter. The FPT can be installed easily and quickly without removingthe meter from service. The transmitter mounts directly to themeter body and can be ordered for use with or without amechanical register.Optional NUFLO electronicsare available to meet desiredoutput signal requirements. As an option, Cameron offersthe Model 1334 with aneconomical poweredcoil for applicationsrequiring a highamplitude 2V to 24Vsquare wave signal.Electrical certificationsfor this model aredifferent than those forthe standard model.Model 1334 pulse transmitterwith optional junction box5

The Flotrac meteremploys the unique constrainedvortex principle to provide anaccurate measurement over a 10:1range.All construction materials used in the Flotrac meter are resistant tocorrosion and abrasion, and only one moving part in the meter—the rotor — comes in contact with the process fluid. Therotor assembly, comprised of bearings and an integralmagnet, can be quickly removed or replaced withoutremoving the meter from the line. The register assembly ismagnetically coupled to the rotor assembly, eliminatingfriction and leakage from packing glands.Process liquid enters the meteringchamber through the 1” (25mm) inletconnection. As the liquid makes a 360-degreeloop, it is separated equally into two streams. The specialconfiguration of the metering chamber forces these streams into aseries of vortices, causing the rotor assembly to rotate in directproportion to the flow rate. The two liquid streams are thencombined at the meter outlet port.Flotrac models 306 and 380 share several interchangeable parts, enabling the user to easily convert a standard flow Model 306meter to a low flow Model 380 meter and vice versa.Similar to a PD meter, the Flotrac meter does not require theinstallation of straight-run pipe upstream or downstream ofthe meter.Model 306Model 380Accuracyand Capacity 1.0% of reading,9 to 90 USGPM 2.0% of reading,1.5 to 15 USGPM(water) 2.0% of reading,4 to 15 USGPM(10 centistokes)Pressure Drop50 PSID (345 Kpad)in water atmaximum flow50 PSID (345 Kpad)in water atmaximum flowRegister Resolution1/100 US Barrels1/1000 US BarrelsRegister Resolution1 Liters1/10 LitersRegister Resolution1/1000 CubicMeters1/10,000 Cubic MetersSpecificationsOperating Pressure 2500 psig (172 bar) SWP withstandard bolting1500 psig (103 bar) SWP withL7M NACE boltingOperating Temperature32 F (0 C) to 200 F (95 C)Viscosity10 centistokes, max.Pipe Connections1” (25 mm) female, inlineFlanged connections optionalRegister8 digitsWeight22 lb (10 kg)DimensionsLength: 8.75” (220 mm)Width: 5.75” (145 mm)Height: 6.0” (150 mm)7

Flotrac Meters (continued)ConstructionThe Flotrac meter body is constructed of SA-216 WCB epoxycoated cast steel with an SA-105 forged steel cover. The impellerand housing inserts are made of glass-filled Ryton , which ispractically impervious to dissolved salts and alkalis, water, mostacids, and low-viscosity hydrocarbon liquids. Other wetted partsinclude 300 series stainless steel and a Buna-N body seal O-ring.The assembly is suitable for sour non-NACE service when thenon-wetted body bolts are supplied as optional grade L7M andthe body O-ring is supplied in Viton.
