Navigating to the Learning Management System (LMS)1. Go to the AAU website at www.academyart.edu. Click on the “Login” button on the top rightcorner of the page.You will see the “Sign In” window. Use your username and password to log in.Your username and password are in the email you received from HR. If you have notreceived this email, check with your department Administrative Assistant.2. Once logged in, you will be taken to your “Portal”, where you can find links to variousresources and information. To access your courses, click on the “Home” icon.3. In your “Home” page, you can see the list of courses that you are enrolled in. Make sure tocheck that you are viewing the correct semester.You will see the option to submit attendance and grades when it’s time to do so.4. The Big 10 Academy Teaching Tips1. Let your students know you care about their success.2. Teach the syllabus! Do not edit it or bring in your own.3. Identify clear goals & learning outcomes at the beginning of each class.4. Stay on track in your lessons.5. Don’t just talk: create hands-on activities for your students. Keep them active.6.
