WEATHERFORD COLLEGEBOARD OF TRUSTEESMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETINGMarch 11, 2021The Weatherford College Board of Trustees met in regular session at 2:00 p.m.,Thursday, March 11, 2021 in the Allene Strain Community Room of the DossStudent Center. Mac Smith, Board Chair, called the meeting to order. Othertrustees present were: Dan Carney, Vice Chair Sue Coody, Dave Cowley, Dr.Trev Dixon, Dr. Robert Marlett, and Secretary Lela Morris. Judy McAnally wasabsent. Mr. Brent Baker, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, gave theinvocation and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.No one spoke for Public Comment.President Tod Allen Farmer submitted the following recognitions andemployee notices in advance of the meeting:a. Recognitions –o WC Phi Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society onbeing awarded a Reach Reward. WC’s Phi Chapter inducted225 new members in 2020, up from the 2019 induction of185 students. PTK advisor Shantee Siebuhr was awardedthe Advisor Horizon Award. Additionally, PTK students JayLove, Jo McClendon, Crislan McFarlin, and Carey Price wererecently named to the 2021 All-Texas Academic Team.o WC cafeteria employees Carmen Mendoza and BlancaVillavicencio deserve recognition for their exemplaryservice during the recent winter storm. These two ladiesslept on the floor of the Strain Room for several days tomake sure that our students were fed hot meals.Additionally, Officer Thomas Murphey was instrumental inshutting off broken water pipes and protecting ourfacilities. There were many WC team members who wentabove and beyond the call of duty during the storm.o The Weatherford College Honors Program for chargingforward. WC honors students recently met during our newactivity period to network and discuss the new honor
