This standard establishesminimum performance conditions to allow for consistent comparisons between similar class vehicles. Ford will apply the SAEstandard to all new vehicles. Ford began applying the standard on the 2013 Fusion and Escape models. Other vehicles meetingthis standard include Transit Connect and Flex (starting with 2014), Mustang, Transit, F-150, Edge (starting with 2015), MKX(starting with 2016), and Super Duty Pickup/Chassis Cab and Continental (starting with 2017).Metric Conversion – To obtain information in kilograms, multiply pounds by .45.Accessories3037Towing Safely for All Vehicles38Know Before You TowThe following vehicles are notrecommended for trailer towing:C-MAX Hybrid, C-MAX Energi, Fiesta,Focus, Fusion Hybrid, Fusion Energi,Shelby GT350/GT350R Mustang,Taurus SHO, and MKZ Hybrid.

2017 RV & TRAILERTowing Guide4WHEELDOWNTOWING.Many motorhome owners prefer the practicalityof having another vehicle along when theytravel. In fact, towing another vehicle behindthe motorhome has become more and morepopular in recent years. Furthermore, many ofthose who want to tow another vehicle preferone that can be easily towed without a dollyor trailer. The car and truck models shown inthe chart at right can be towed with all fourwheels down. For safe operation, towed vehicles(or dollies or trailers carrying them) shouldbe equipped with a separate functional brakesystem. See pages 30 and 38 for additionalbrake information.Note: Some aftermarket camper centres offer kits whichmay allow vehicles with automatic transmissions to beflat-towed. Check your new vehicle Warranty Guide, asthis could void the warranty of your vehicle. If your vehicle configuration is notlisted in the chart at right, then FourWheel-Down towing is not available. 13Individual vehicleshave differentrestrictions andtowing procedures.Contact yourdealer for completedetails.
