We are the first in North Americato purchase NOT 1, BUT 3, of the GroveGMK5150L‛s. We celebrated with a handoverceremony at Manitowoc‛s booth as they presentedBill Grubb and Michelle Solaimani with acommemorative plaque and custom hard hat.The GMK5150L is one of Grove‛s newest modelswith a load capacity of 175 tons and 197 feet ofboom. It is one of the most powerful and versatilefive-axle cranes in its class. We take delivery of all3 cranes in the spring. We justcan’t keep him out of the south!With the continued growth of theCrawler Division, Cecil Wilmothtransitioned from VP of MajorProjects to VP of the CrawlerDivision. Eddie Duffie will remainbranch manager. The duo will beable to better plan for futureopportunities.We are proud to announce Veronica Elliott as theReceptionist for the Crawler Division. Veronica will beperforming administrative duties, such as: timesheets,billing, collections, etc. while reporting directly to EddieDuffie, Branch Manager. She spent the last 10 years doingthe same administrative duties for two other localRICHMONDcompanies. 2016 Annual Awards BanquetFebruary held the 6th Annual Awards Banquet for the salesmen of W. O. Grubb. The event took placeat The Hyatt Regency in Tysons Corner, Virginia. The event space was beautifully decorated with ablack and white theme, cupcake display and a step and repeat (red carpet and all). We celebrated theachievements of the salesmen for the 2016 year, and danced all night. MAJOR PROJECTSMajor Projects started the first of many lifts in Greensville,VA. They hauled the first of 45 heat exchangers on aplatform trailer. The heat exchanger weighed 440,000pounds. Brian Showalter operated the Liebherr LR1750/2,825 ton Crawler and Ron Freestone operated the LiebherrLR1400, 450 ton Crawler. There are 44 more heatexchangers that they will have to lift and set within the nexteight months.BALTIMORENemo Lingerman’s jobworking for ProjectManager, Jim Perkins, withB & M Towers.
