MTEA Bio- Jon HuppertMy name is Jon Huppert. I have been a middle school science teacher for 19 years- the last 14 years Ihave been here in Montville. I reside in Parsippany with my wife and two boys. In my free time, I enjoyplaying hockey and performing music as a drummer. I am also a Little League baseball coach.My union experience includes: Head AR at Hopatcong Middle School (As a non-tenured teacher)Served on the MTEA grievance committeeDistrict Grievance ChairCurrently the MTEA Vice PresidentServing as both the grievance chair and vice president, I have meet with union members andadministration to resolve many issues. I have also testified on behalf of the membership in multiplearbitration hearings.I look forward to continuing to represent our members and keeping our Union strong as the MTEA vicepresident for the coming year.

I hope that you havefound the minutes from our Rep Council to be clear and direct while I have beenavailable and helpful as the Secretary.I have served on the Executive Board for the last five years in different capacities.I can confirm how dedicated and hard-working your Board is in advocating formembers and working towards labor negotiations.
