TM 9-1005-206-14P/3CodeP92. GeneralThis Repair Parts, and Special Tools List is divided intothe following sections:a. Basic Issue Items List. Not applicable.b. Items Troop Installed or Authorized List. Notapplicable.c. Repair Parts—Section II. A list of Repair Partsauthorized at the organizational level for the performanceof maintenance. It also includes parts which must beremoved for replacement of the authorized parts. Partslists are composed of functional groups in ascendingnumerical sequence, with the parts in each group listedin figure and item number sequence.d. Special Tools List—Section III. A list of specialtools, test and support equipment authorized for theperformance of maintenance at the organizational level.e. Repair Parts List—Section IV. A list of repairparts authorized at the direct support and generalsupport levels for the performance of maintenance. Thelist also includes parts which must be removed for thereplacement of the authorized parts. Parts lists arecomposed of functional groups in ascending numericalsequence, with parts in each group listed in figure anditem number sequence.f. Special Tools List—Section V. A list of specialtools, test and support equipment authorized for theperformance of maintenance at the direct support andgeneral support levels.g. Federal Stock Number and Reference NumberA list, in ascending numericalIndex—Section VI.sequence, of all Federal stock numbers appearing in thelistings, followed by a list, in alphameric sequence, of allreference numbers appearing in the listings. Federalstock number and reference numbers are crossreferenced to each illustration figure and item numberappearance.P10MAXX1X2G3. Explanation of ColumnsThe following provides an explanation of columns foundin the tabular listings.a. Source, Maintenance and Recoverability Codes(SMR).(1) Source Code. Indicates the source for thelisted item. Source codes are:CodePP2ExplanationAssigned to items which are NSA designcontrolled: unique repair parts. special tools.test.measuring, and diagnostic equipmentwhich are stocked and supplied by the ArmyCOMSEC Logistic System and which are notsubject to the provisions of AR 380-41Assigned to items which are NSA designcontrolled: special tools, test, measuring anddiagnostic equipment for COMSEC support.which are accountable under the provisions ofAR 380-41, and which are stocked and suppliedby the Army COMSEC Logistic System.Repair parts, special tools and test equipmentwhich are not procured or stocked as such in thesupply system but are to be manufactured atindicated maintenance levels.Assemblies which are not procured or stocked assuch but are made up of two or more units Suchcomponent units carry individual stock numbersand descriptions, are procured and stockedseparately, and can be assembled to form therequired assembly at indicated maintenancecategoriesParts and assemblies that are not procured orstocked because the failure rate is normallybelow that of the applicable end item orcomponent The failure of such part or assemblyshould result in retirement of the end item fromthe supply systemRepair Parts which are not procured or stocked.The requirement for such items will be filled bythe next higher assembly or component.Repair parts, special tools, and test equipmentwhich are not stocked and have no foreseenmortality. The indicated maintenance categoryrequiring such repair parts will attempt to obtainthe parts through cannibalization or salvage Theitem may be requisitioned, with exception data,from the end item manager for immediate use.Major assemblies that are procured with PEMAfunds for initial issue only as exchangeassemblies at DS and GS level Theseassemblies will not be stocked above the DS andGS level or returned to depot supply level.NOTECannibalization or salvage may be used as asource of supply for any items source codedabove except those coded X1 and aircraft supportitems as restricted by AR 700-42ExplanationRepair parts, special tools and test equipmentsupplied from the GSA/DSA, or Army supplysystem, and authorized for use at indicatedmaintenance categories.Repair parts, special tools and test equipmentwhich are procured and stocked for insurancepurposes because the combat or militaryessentially of the end item dictates that aminimum quantity be available in the supplysystem.(2) Maintenance Code. Indicates the lowestcategory of maintenance authorized to install the repairpart and/or use the special tool or test equipment foreach application. Capabilities of higher maintenancecategories are considered equal or better. Maintenancecodes al maintenanceDirect support maintenanceGeneral support maintenanceDepot maintenance.

TM 9-1005-206-14P/3(3) Recoverability Code.Indicates whetherunserviceable items should be returned for recovery orsalvage.Items not coded are nonrecoverable.Recoverability codes are:CodeRSTUabbreviation, e.g., ea, in, pr, etc., and is the basis used toindicate quantities and allowances , in subsequentcolumns. When the unit of measure differs from the unitof issue, the lowest unit of issue that will satisfy therequired units of measure will be requisitioned.e. Quantity Incorporated in Unit. Indicates thequantity of the item used in the breakout shown on theillustration figure, which is prepared for a functionalgroup, subfunctional groups, or an assembly. A "V"appearing in this column in lieu of a quantity indicatesthat no specific quantity is applicable, e.g., shims,spacers, etc.f. 15-Day Organizational Maintenance Allowances.(1) The allowance columns are divided into foursub-columns. Items authorized for use are identified withan asterisk in the allowance column opposite the firstappearance of each item. Subsequent appearanceshave the letters "REF" in the allowance columns.(2) Subsequent changes to allowance lists willbe accomplished in accordance with AR 735-35. Inaddition the major commands will be authorized toapprove reductions in stockage allowances (range andquantity). If additional items are considered necessary,recommendations should be forwarded to CommandingGeneral, U.S. Army Weapons Command, ATTN:AMSWE-MAP, Rock Island, Illinois 61201, for exceptionor revision to the allowance list.g. 30-Day DS/GS Maintenance Allowances.NOTEAllowances in GS Column are for GSMaintenance only.The allowance columns are divided into threesubcolumns. Items authorized for use are identified withan asterisk in the allowance column opposite the firstappearance of each item. Subsequent appearances ofthe same item will have the letters "REF" in theapplicable allowance columns.h. 1-Year Allowances per 100 Equipments/Contingency Planning Purposes. This column indicatesopposite the first appearance of each item theauthorization for distribution and contingency planningpurposes. The range of items indicates the authorizationof all items required to provide for adequate support of100 equipments for one year. Subsequent appearancesof the same item will have the letters "REF" in thiscolumn.i. Depot Maintenance Allowance per 100Equipments. Not applicable.j. Illustration. This column is divided as follows.(1) Figure Number. Indicates the figure numberof the illustration in which the item is shown.(2) Item Number. Indicates the callout numberused to reference the item on the illustration.ExplanationApplied to repair parts. (assemblies andcomponents special tools and testequipmentwhichareconsideredeconomically reparable at direct and generalsupport maintenance levels. When the itemis no longer economically reparable. it isnormally disposed of at the GS level. Whensupply considerations dictate, some of theserepair parts may be listed for automaticreturn to supply for depot level repair as setforth in AR 710-50. When so listed. theywill be replaced by supply on an exchangebasis.Repair Parts, Special Tools Test Equipmentand assemblies which are economicallyreparable at DS and GS activities and whichnormally are furnished by supply on anexchange basis.When items aredetermined by a GSU to be uneconomicallyreparable, they will be evacuated to a depotfor evaluation and analysis before finaldisposition.Higher dollar value recoverable repair parts,special tools and test equipment which aresubject to special handling and are issuedon an exchange basis. Such items will berepairedoroverhauledatdepotmaintenance activities only. No repair maybe accomplished at a lower levels.Repair Parts, Special Tools and TestEquipment specifically selected for salvageby reclamation units because of preciousmetal content, critical materials, high dollarvalue or reusable casings or castings.b. Federal Stock Number. Indicates the Federalstock number assigned to the item and will be used forrequisitioning purposes.c. Description. Indicates the Federal item nameand a minimum description required to identify the item.The last line indicates the reference number followed bythe applicable Federal Supply Code for Manufacturer(FSCM) in parentheses. The FSCM is used as anelement in item identification to designate manufactureror distributor or Government agency, etc., and isidentified in SB 708-42. Items that are included in kitsand sets are listed below the name of the kit or set withquantity of each item in the kit or set indicated in front ofthe item name.d. Unit of Measure (U/M). Indicates the standard orbasic quantity by which the listed item is used inperforming the actual maintenance function.Thismeasure is expressed by a two-character alphabetical10

How to Locate Repair Partsa. When Federal stock number or referencenumber is unknown:(1) First. Using the table of contents determinethe functional group within which the repair part belongs.This is necessary since illustrations ace prepared forfunctional groups and listings are divided into the samegroups.(2) Second. Find the illustration covering thefunctional group to which the repair part belongs.Identify the repair part on the(3) Third.illustration and note the illustration figure and itemnumber of the repair part.(4) Fourth. Using the Repair Parts Listings.Find the functional group to which the repair part belongsand locate the illustration figure and item number notedon the illustration.b. When Federal stock number or referencenumber is known:(1) First. Using the Index of Federal StockNumbers and Reference Numbers find the pertinentFederal stock number or reference number. This indexis in ascending FSN sequence followed by a list ofreference numbers in ascending alphameric sequence,cross-referenced to the illustration figure number anditem number.(2) Second.
