6IntroductionNavigation and multimedia system owner’s manualThis manual explains the operation ofthe system. Please read this manualcarefully to ensure proper use. Keepthis manual in your vehicle at all times. The screens shown in this manual maydiffer from the actual screen of the system depending on availability of functions, Lexus Enform subscriptionstatus, and map data available at thetime this manual was produced. The screens in this manual will also differ if the screen theme settings havebeen changed. (Theme setting: P.60)In some situations when changingbetween screens, it may take longerthan normal for the screen to change, the screen may be blank momentarilyor noise may be displayed. Please be aware that the content of thismanual may be different from the system in some cases, such as when thesystem’s software is updated.Navigation system (12.3-inchdisplay model)The navigation system is one of themost technologically advanced vehicle accessories ever developed. Thesystem receives satellite signals fromthe Global Positioning System (GPS)operated by the U.S. Department ofDefense. Using these signals and othervehicle sensors, the system indicatesyour present position and assists inlocating a desired destination. The navigation system is designed toselect efficient routes from your present starting location to your destination. The system is also designed todirect you to a destination that is unfamiliar to you in an efficient manner. Thesystem uses AISIN AW maps. The calculated routes may not be the shortestnor the least traffic congested. Yourown personal local knowledge or“short cut” may at times be faster thanthe calculated routes. The navigation system’s databaseincludes Point of Interest categories toallow you to easily select destinationssuch as restaurants and hotels. If a destination is not in the database, you canenter the street address close to it andthe system will guide you there. The system will provide both a visualmap and audio instructions. The audioinstructions will announce the distanceremaining and the direction to turn inwhen approaching an intersection. These voice instructions will help youkeep your eyes on the road and aretimed to provide enough time to allowyou to maneuver, change lanes or slowdown. Please be aware that all current vehiclenavigation systems have certain limitations that may affect their ability to perform properly. The accuracy of thevehicle’s position depends on satelliteconditions, road configuration, vehiclecondition or other circumstances. For

7more information on the limitations ofthe system, refer to page 110.TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION
