Bohn is product quality manager for FlintHills Resources LP, St. Paul, Minnesota, a leadingindependent refi ning, chemicals, and biofuels company.In this position he has responsibility for productquality and customer support, including development,formulations, testing, and process support for petroleumand other products, as well as training, regulatorycompliance, and quality assurance oversight.Taco van der Maten is marketing manager at MalvernPANalytical in Almelo, the Netherlands. In this position,he is responsible for the global chemicals sectorincluding polymer, oils, fuels, and (petro-) chemicalsmarkets at Malvern Panalytical, a strong worldwideplayer in the materials characterization markets, rangingfrom building materials, chemicals, pharmaceuticals,metals, and mining to nanomaterials.Bohn has been involved with the work of the Committeeon Road and Paving Materials (D04) since he joinedASTM International in 1996. He serves on multipleD04 groups and has been chairman of subcommitteeson Emulsifi ed Asphalt Specifi cations (D04.41) andEmulsifi ed Asphalt Test (D04.42). Bohn is also a memberof the committees on Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels,and Lubricants (D02), Gaseous Fuels (D03), and workson several D02 subcommittees, including the executivesubcommittee. He served on the ASTM Committee onTechnical Committee Operations from 2006 to 2011,including a term as COTCO chairman. Bohn, an ASTMboard member since 2012, served as chairman of thefi nance and audit committee in 2015, and chairman ofthe board of directors for the Safety Equipment Institutein 2017.An ASTM International member since 2006, van derMaten is chairman of the Committee on DeclarableSubstances in Materials (F40), which developsstandards for the evaluation of materials and productsfor regulations and use of hazardous substances inelectrical and electronic equipment (RoHS, REACH)and similar requirements. He is also a member of thecommittees on Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels, andLubricants (D02) and Plastics (D20).After graduating in 1989 from the University ofWisconsin, Stevens Point, with a B.S. in chemistry, Bohnbecame an asphalt chemist and subsequently technicalleader for Koch Materials Co. In 2005, he becametechnical leader at Flint Hills Resources, and moved intothe northern region quality manager role in 2008. Heassumed his current title in 2011.In 1985, the year he graduated from the Dr. Ir. W.L.Ghijsen Institute in Utrecht with a degree in analyticalchemistry, van der Maten became a research chemistfor Heineken. He then worked as research chemist,service delivery manager, and business developmentmanager at Royal DSM N.V. in Sittard-Geleen beforejoining the Malvern PANalytical staff in 2006.

Kireta Jr. is vice president, marketdevelopment, at the Copper Development AssociationInc., New York, New York, a not-for-profi t tradeassociation that serves as the advanced marketdevelopment and engineering services arm of thecopper and brass industry in the United States.John R. Logar is a senior director of aseptic processingand radiation sterilization at Johnson & Johnson SterilityAssurance in Raritan, New Jersey, a global healthcareproducts manufacturer and provider of related services.An ASTM International member since 1998, Kiretaworks on the Committee on Copper and Copper Alloys(B05) and several of its subcommittees. He previouslyserved as B05 membership secretary and is the currentchairman of Subcommittee B05.92 on Awards. A 2016Award of Merit recipient, Kireta has also been honoredwith the B05 Copper Club Award and the Arthur CohenMemorial Distinguished Service Award for his work onthe committee. Kireta has been a member of the boardsince 2014 and most recently has been chairman of theFinance and Audit Committee.Kireta joined CDA in 1992 as Midwest regional managerand held management positions for tube, pipe,and fi ttings, and architectural applications, beforebecoming vice president, building construction, in2008. He assumed his current role in 2010. As CDAvice president, Kireta is responsible for promoting theuse of copper and copper alloy systems and relatedproducts in both building construction and sustainableenergy applications.Kireta holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanicalengineering from Purdue University.Logar, an ASTM International member since 2001, ischairman of the Committee on Radiation Processing(E61) as well as its subcommittee on Dosimetry (E61.01).E61 previously had been part of the Committee onNuclear Technology and Applications (E10), whereLogar also served as chair. He received the Peter D.Hedgecock Award in 2010 for his contributions. Logar,who served on the ASTM Committee on TechnicalCommittee Operations from 2012 to 2014, is also amember of the committees on Quality and Statistics(E11), Flexible Barrier Packaging (F02), and Medical andSurgical Materials and Devices (F04).Logar began his career as a quality assurance managerat SteriGenics in 1996; he then was a senior technicalmanager and a director of radiation dosimetry forSteriGenics International. In 2008, he becamemanager and then associate director of research anddevelopment for sterilization, science, and technologyat Ethicon Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company. Heassumed his current role in 2013.Logar holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics fromRowan University.5

Aspesi, Ph.D., is seniorpartner at Bridge Associates InternationalLLC, a pharmaceutical industry consultancycompany based in Princeton, New Jersey.An ASTM International member since2003, Aspesi is currently vice chairmanof the Committee on Manufacture ofPharmaceutical and BiopharmaceuticalProducts (E55) and chairman of itsSubcommittee on Outreach and Education(E55.94).Aspesi has more than 35 years ofexperience in drug substance and drugproduct quality assurance and qualitycontrol as well as in pharmaceuticalresearch and development. He has fosteredthe implementation of quality managementsystems in industrial and developmentoperations as well as laboratory informationmanagement systems on a global basis.Before assuming his current role atBridge Associates in 2016, Aspesi wasvice president and senior adviser atNovartis Group Quality, based at NovartisPharmaceuticals Corp. Prior to that, he wassenior vice president of Global Quality andCompliance for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.His career also includes positions as vicepresident of global quality operationsand health, safety, and environment atAventis Pharma and at Hoescht MarionRoussel. Constantino, Ph.D., is directorof business development for SeparationTechnologies LLC, a Titan America business,in Deerfield Beach, Florida. SeparationTechnologies is the leading producer ofprocessed fly ash in the United States.An ASTM International member since 2005,Constantino works on the committeeson Cement (C01), Concrete and ConcreteAggregates (C09), and Sustainability(E60). He has also contributed to the ASTMMemorandum of Understanding program inLatin America.Before joining the Titan staff, Constantinoworked as a researcher and a consultantboth in Panama and the United States. In2005, he joined Titan America’s Floridabusiness as manager of technical services;he then took on the role of director ofconcrete technology for Titan America LLCfrom 2007 to 2011. He was senior directorof process quality and then vice presidentof corporate engineering for Titan beforeassuming his current position.Constantino holds a B.S. in civil engineering,an M.S. in structural engineering, and aPh.D. in construction materials from theUniversity of Texas at Austin.R. James Galipeau is director of IntertekPTL, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, wherehe focuses on plastics, polymeric, andcomposite materials testing.The immediate past chairman of theCommittee on Plastics (D20), Galipeauhas been an ASTM International membersince 1992. In 2011, D20 honored him withthe Award of Merit and title of fellow for hiscontributions to standards development andhis leadership as a committee officer. Hehas also received additional D20 awards,including an Award of Excellence andan Outstanding Achievement Award. Inaddition to his D20 work, Galipeau servedon the Committee on Technical CommitteeOperations from 2008 to 2011.Since graduating from the University ofMassachusetts in Amherst, Galipeau hasconcentrated on the analytical, physical,electrical, mechanical, and rheologicaltesting of plastics. He joined PlasticsTechnology Laboratories Inc. as laboratorymanager in 1986. When PTL was acquiredby Intertek PLC and became Intertek PTL in2007, Galipeau was named general manager.In 2012, he assumed his current position.

CROSQ, founded by the 15English-speaking member states of theCaribbean Community (CARICOM), is theregional center for standards developmentand promotion, as well as the advancementof metrology, accreditation, and conformityassessment systems.As CEO of CROSQ, Omar is focusedon modernizing and accelerating thepreparation, adoption, and use of regionalstandards to increase trade, boost industrialeffi ciency and eff ectiveness, promoteconsciousness in society, and further thecause of the CARICOM single market andeconomy.From 2007 to 2013, Omar led the Trinidadand Tobago Bureau of Standards asexecutive director. He also served aschairman of CROSQ from 2007 to 2009,overseeing a regional collaborative eff ort todevelop and implement its fi rst three-yearstrategic plan.Omar graduated with a bachelor’s degree incivil engineering from the University of theWest Indies - Trinidad Campus, and pursueda post-graduate diploma in managementstudies as well as an MBA. Tann is director of technicalservices for the Belden Brick Co. in Canton,Ohio. Belden Brick, the largest familyowned and managed brick company in theUnited States, owns several plants as wellas distributors.An ASTM International fellow and Award ofMerit recipient, Tann has been a membersince 1988. He works on the committees onMortars and Grouts for Unit Masonry (C12)and Manufactured Masonry Units (C15). Thecommittees have recognized his work withawards such as the C15 Alan H. YorkdaleMemorial Award, the C15 Dr. Gilbert C.Robinson Memorial Award, and the C12Honorary Membership Award.In his career, Tann has concentrated onthe design of brick masonry structures aswell as building codes and standards. Aftergraduating from the Pennsylvania StateUniversity in 1985 with a bachelor’s degreein architectural engineering, Tann joinedthe staff of the Brick Institute of Americaas a staff engineer. In 1987, he becamepresident of the Brick Institute’s Mid EastRegion, a position he held until 2014 whenhe assumed his current position.7Vicky J. Taylor is a senior researchtechnologist in the research anddevelopment center of INVISTA (Canada)Co., Kingston, Ontario. INVISTA is one ofthe world’s largest integrated producers ofpolymers and fi bers used mainly for nylonand polyester.An ASTM International member since1999, Taylor has served as chairman of theCommittee on Textiles (D13) and is currentlyserving as chair of its subcommitteeson Subassemblies (D13.54), and LongRange Planning (D13.98). She is also amember of the Committee on PersonalProtective Clothing and Equipment (F23),and has recently completed a term on theCommittee on Standards. Her standardswork also includes serving as a votingmember of multiple Canadian GeneralStandards Board committees.Taylor has more than 30 years of experiencein textile testing and evaluation usinginternational standards. Her career hasfocused on methods development,laboratory personnel training, laboratorysetup, and compliance auditing andtroubleshooting. Beginning her career atDu Pont in the Customer Technical FibersLaboratory in Kingston, Ontario, she workedon certifi cation, customer assistance,research, and method and productdevelopment for fi bers, yarn, fabric, andfi nished goods.In 1999, Taylor joined the research anddevelopment center of Du Pont Canadaas a senior research technologist andtransitioned with the new INVISTA (Canada)Co., created as part of Du Pont’s sale of itsnylon business in 2004.
