Product BulletinVee-Ball Valves51.3:Vee-BallMarch 2018D101363X012Fisher Vee-Ball V150, V200, and V300Rotary Control ValvesThis bulletin covers the DN 25 through 600 (NPS 1through 24) V150, V200 and V300 Vee-Ball controlvalves. The Vee-Ball valve combines globe valveruggedness with the efficiency of a rotary valve. TheVee-Ball valve is a segmented ball valve which featuresa contoured segmented V-Notch ball. A shearingaction between the V-notch ball and the ball seal(figure 1) promotes smooth, nonclogging operation. The unrestricted straight-through flow design provideshigh capacity for gas, steam, liquids, and fibrousslurries.V150, V200, and V300 valves mate with a variety ofASME raised face flanges, as well as with EN flanges(see Specifications).X0187To meet specific application requirements, a variety ofmetal and soft ball seal materials are available. Asplined drive shaft combines with a variety of poweroperated and manual actuators to provide reliable,high-performance throttling or on-off operation formany different applications in the process industries.V150FeaturesnTrim Versatility—Trim components areinterchangeable between V150, V200, and V300valves. This feature allows you to reduce your spareparts inventory and maintenance procedures. Theseal assembly can be changed without removingthe actuator or without removing the ball from thevalve body.nEasy Installation—Flanged body design of the V150and V300 eliminates exposed line flange bolting, reduces alignment and installation time, andpromotes secure valve installations and pipingintegrity. The V200 is available with flanges in NPS 2through 8.www.Fisher.comX0337V200Typical Vee-Ball Valves with Fisher 2052 Actuators andFIELDVUEt DVC6200 Digital Valve Controllers

Product BulletinVee-Ball Valves51.3:Vee-BallMarch 2018Features (continued)nnn4Application Versatility—The valves are available withISA S75.08.02 and IEC 534-3-2 face-to-facedimensions as a standard construction, andoptional ASME B16.10 short face-to-facedimensions. IEC 534.3.2 face-to-face dimensionsare equivalent to S75.08.02 face-to-facedimensions.Long Service Life—The solid HD ball seal (figures 1and 2) construction provides long service life indemanding applications. The constant wipingaction of the seal across the ball's sealing surfaceprevents scale and sludge buildup, and providesexcellent service on steam, gases, slurries, andvarious liquid applications.Excellent Flow Control—Precise contouring of theVee-Ball provides a modified equal percentage flowcharacteristic. For very precise control of low flowrates, the Micro-Notch option is available on theNPS 1 valve. See the Micro-Notch Constructionsection of this bulletin for more information.D101363X012nSour Service Capability—Materials are available forapplications involving sour liquids and gases. Theseconstructions comply with NACE MR0175-2002,MR0175-2003, MR0103, and MR0175/ISO 15156.nQuick and Easy Maintenance—Ball seal inspectionand replacement is done at the valve body inletwithout removing the actuator or disassembling thevalve. Valve maintenance requires no special tools.nSmooth Valve Operation—Precision machined partsand pressure balanced seal designs allow smooth, precise movement of the ball.nStructural Integrity—One-piece valve body improvesstructural integrity of the pressure boundary byeliminating leak paths that could be caused by thegaskets in two-piece, bolted valve designs.nExceptional Environmental Capabilities—Theoptional ENVIRO-SEAL packing systems aredesigned with very smooth shaft surfaces and liveloading to provide exceptional sealing. The seal ofthe ENVIRO-SEAL system can restrict emissions toless than the EPA (Environmental ProtectionAgency) limit of 100 ppm (parts per million).

Product BulletinVee-Ball Valves51.3:Vee-BallMarch 2018D101363X012Severe Service AttenuatorFisher Vee-Ball series valves (V150, V200, and V300),with the severe service attenuator, combine theefficiency of a rotary valve with the energy absorbingcapability of a special trim to provide improvedperformance for demanding applications. The Fisherattenuator design can be utilized in both liquid and gasservice to reduce cavitation and noise effects thatcause pipeline vibration. See table 3 for a competitivecomparison. The attenuator will not change the NACE complianceof the Vee-Ball valve. When a rotary noise attenuator isinstalled in a Vee-Ball valve, the V-Notch is no longer apoint of high-velocity erosion. As a result, the CoCr-AV-Notch option is not required when a rotaryattenuator is used. The rotary attenuator and CoCr-AV-Notch options are not available together.nAttenuator-Ball Fabrication — The ball-attenuatorconstruction provides structural integrity becauseof its rugged fabrication weld.nAttenuator Performance — Up to -10 dBA acousticalattenuation, and a Kc 1.0 for hydrodynamics areachievable depending on service conditions.Attenuator Ball MaterialStandard attenuator ball material is CG8M, M35-1,CW2M, or CK3McuN.Standard Flow DirectionForward flow direction is into the convex face of theV-notch ball. The valve with the attenuator must beplaced in the forward flow direction for the attenuatorto be effective.FeaturesnTrim Versatility — Trim components areinterchangeable for Fisher V150, V200, and V300valves. This feature allows you to reduce your spareparts inventory and maintenance procedures.Actuator MountingRight-hand or left-hand as viewed from the upstreamend of the valve. Information on limits for S31254, CW2M,M35-2, CD3MN, CD3MWCuN, and other alloyconstructions can be obtained by contacting yourEmerson sales office or Local Business Partner. Thelowest number from the tables is the appropriate limit. The tables for both trim and body limits must beconsulted.13

through 24) V150, V200 and V300 Vee-Ball control valves. The Vee-Ball valve combines globe valve ruggedness with the efficiency of a rotary valve. The Vee-Ball valve is a segmented ball valve which features a contoured segmented V-Notch ball. A shearing action between the V-notch ball and the ball seal (figure 1) promotes smooth, nonclogging .
The V150, V200, and V300 Vee‐Ball valves (figure 1) with a V‐notch ball are used in throttling or on‐off service. The V200 is a flangeless construction. The V150 and V300 valves are raised‐face flanged constructions. The splined valve shaft of all these valves connect to a variety of rotary‐shaft actuators. Specifications

The Vee–Ball Valve, a Design V150 or V200, is the final control device that controls the amount of process flow. The SKF electrically operated actuator provides rotary motion to open and close the valve. A stepping motor in the actuator drives a ball screw. The linear motion of the
The rugged Vee-Ball valve incorporates large margins of safety in its design. This, coupled with extensive flow testing and evaluation, results in a rotary control valve that is the industry standard for reliability. The Vee-Ball valve’s high capacity and excellent characteristics mean your process can be controlled with
Each reference should include everything you need to identify the item. You need to identify the source type (e.g. book, journal article) and use the correct referencing format from this guide to create the reference. If you include items that are not specifically cited but are relevant to the text or of potential interest to the reader, then that is a bibliography. Generally speaking, the key .
