Avoid exposing the camera to strongvibration or shock; e.g. dropping or hittingthe camera, or sitting down with the camerain your pocket. (Attach hand strap to avoiddropping camera. Hanging any items otherthan the supplied hand strap from thecamera can apply pressure against it.) Do not press the lens or the LCD monitor. If lens is dirty:Images may appear slightly white if lens isdirty (fingerprints, etc.).Turn the power on, hold the extracted lensbarrel with your fingers, and gently wipethe lens surface with a soft, dry cloth.
