Total Flange CareThere are many parameters which impact the performanceof a gasket. Identifying these factors and ensuring they areall optimized to provide you with a safe and sustainableflange connection is at the core of our business. At LeaderGasket Technologies we call this approach Total FlangeCare.InnovationThe development of gaskets is a process that is always inmotion. At Leader Gasket Technologies we operate in theforefront of this field. Our engineering team utilizes the latest techniques to develop innovative gaskets, specificallydesigned to perform optimally in increasingly complicatedprocesses in various industries.GASKETSFLANGESAND BOLTSTIGHTNESSINSTALLATIONDESIGN &CALCULATIONGasket failure?A leaking flange connection is often called a “gasket failure”.Yet, in many cases simply replacing the gasket doesn’t solvethe problem. This is because there are many factors whichhave a direct and indirect impact on the performance of aflange connection. The gasket itself is a very important partof the equation, but it can only perform as intended when itis properly installed and maintained.Flange Integrity managementThis why we call a leaking flange connection an “integrityproblem”. Our approach to solving this problem is FlangeIntegrity Management. This is where we systematically identify all the contributing factors that cause the leak and establish the right approach to come up with a lasting solution.Four parametersSafety and sustainability are the highest concern in industrial gasketting. Creating and maintaining a leak free flangeconnections is of the utmost importance. At Leader Gaskettechnology we always look at the combination of the following four parameters: GasketFlanges and boltsAssemblyOperating conditionsMEETING THE HIGHEST STANDARD!Ø Training mechanics / engineers EN1591-4Ø Advising gasket selectionØ Inspection and recommendation flangeparametersØ Gasket testingØ Calculation bolt force, tightness and emissionØ Flange management programsØ LDARWORLD CLASS GASKET MANUFACTURER9

Sustainable Gasket SolutionsLeaks can cause the emission of gases and vapors in pressurized industrial equipment. Losing raw materials is notonly problematic because of costs. This loss also createsa multitude of risks and dangers. In the long term, certainchemicals may pose a risk to the health of workers. A leakof flammable substances increases the risk of fire and explosion. In addition, the emission of chemical substances isharmful to the environment.Emission reductionGaskets and pipe connections are the greatest risk to potential leakage points and emission. In large industrial installations there are many gaskets present and when thesegaskets are not reliable, total emission can soar. LeaderGasket Technologies is specialized in gaskets that reducefugitive emissions. Through education about the propergasket selection, proper calculations and installation advice, Leader can help any industry with emission reduction.10WORLD CLASS GASKET MANUFACTURERLEAKING IS DANGEROUSAND COSTLY!ØØØØØØØUnsafe situationsEmissionEnvironmental impactLoss of productionLoss of productCleaning costExtra maintenance

Leader Spiral Wound GasketsHIGH INTEGRITY SWG GASKETSThe spiral wound gasket (SWG) is without any doubt one ofthe most widely used metal/soft-material gaskets. The design is based on an existing concept which has proven itsexcellent properties over many years. The basic principle of the spiral wound gasket consists ofalternating layers of V-shaped metal coils and soft, nonmetallic filling material. The first and the last coils consistonly of metal in order to reinforce the spiral on the inner andouter diameters. This ‚sandwich‘ construction, in conjunction with the specialV-shape of the spiral metal band and the properties of thefilling material make the spiral wound gasket ideal for applications with high Temperature differences and associatedvoltage differences, joint relaxation and flange twists.Applications Piping (DIN/ANSI) TA-Luft In the event of Temperature fluctuations Tongue and groove connections Heat exchangers Equipment Steam boilers High pressuresPropertiesOuter ring Centring of the gasket Prevents blow-out Increase in mechanical strength Labelling Material: steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metalsSURFACE PRESSURE LIMITSSTYLETEMP. LeaderKAMKAMMPROFILE GASKETSThe use of kammprofile gaskets has increased enormouslyin recent decades – not only for the sealing of standardflanges, but also of equipment components, such as heatexchangers and containers.LeaderKAM kammprofile gaskets with soft material layersare characterised on the one hand by a very low minimumsurface pressure which is determined by the material of thesupport. On the other hand, the maximum permissible surface pressure is very high as this is determined by the valueof the metal carrier material. This gives the grooved gaskets with layers a very wide rangeof application. They are therefore almost universally applicable. The bolt force to be applied when using grooved gaskets is determined by the characteristic data of the screws.Applications Flanged pipes (DIN/ANSI) TA-Luft Grooved flanges Heat exchanger Equipment Boilers High pressurePropertiesMetal Core Thickness: 1,5-10 mm Stainless steel/steel in various grades Depending on the thickness of the layers, the carrier material contains the precisely defined comb-like groovesSoft material layer Thickness:0.5 mm or 1 mm Graphite(-200 to 450 C) PTFE(-240 to 250 C) Mica(0 to 800 C) Silver(-270 to 750 C)Pressure Max. 200 bar, depending on the installation and surfacepressureSURFACE PRESSURE LIMITSSTYLETEMP. Leader Elastagraph EMISSION REDUCTION GASKETSElastagraph gaskets feature a corrugated core made ofstainless steel in the carrier assembly, which is seamlesslycoated with flexible Graphite of different densities andthicknesses. This version provides much better sealcharacteristics in comparison to standard corrugated ringgaskets.Elastagraph ‘s corrugated form ensures a constantspringback against the flange surfaces. The reducedeffective seal area achieved benefits the bolt force wheninitial torque is applied, as the entire ring edge is notimmediately compressed. In contrast to conventional Graphite gaskets, the methodof production of Elastagraph creates a type of sealwithout a joint. The corrugate core is completely coatedwith Graphite. An additional Graphite area with a higherdensity is applied to the internal part of Elastagraph onboth sides. This creates a line pressure which significantlyincreases the sealing behaviour in comparison to classicalgaskets. The core is also made of stainless steel and canwithstand potential damage.Applications Flanged Pipes (DIN/ANSI) TA-Luft Vompensates for flange irregularities Emission reductionmin. MPamax. Leader RTJRING TYPE JOINT GASKETSLeader RTJ gaskets are solid, full metal gaskets witha special profile, for use in special flanges. Ring JointGaskets (RTJ) are designed for use under high pressures and Temperatures. They are used primarily in the(petro)chemical industry.Dimensions and profiles are defined in the standards API6A, ASME B 16.20 and ISO 7483.The contact surfaces between RTJ gaskets and flanges arerelatively small so that a very high surface pressure can berealised. This is necessary to push the sealing material intothe uneven areas of the flange. In order to avoid damage tothe flanges, it is important that the sealing material is softerthan the material of the flanges. For this reason, the API 6Aspecifies maximum values for the hardness of different materials for RTJ seals.Applications Piping (RTJ) Very high pressures Refinery Gas Industry Petrochemicals High pressure valves Gas compressorsPropertiesMetal Various steels and stainless steels in accordancewith material tableStyle Oval Octogonal RX BXSURFACE PRESSURE LIMITSSTYLETEMP. KAMMPROFILE GASKET The Kammprofile gasket Flexpro has the compressibility of a sheet gasket for low sealing stress, along with the bolt tightness of a spiral wound gasket—plus the handling ease of a solid metal gasket and its resistance to buckling. This gasket f

close tolerances to provide the proper gasket compression. Unlike the bonnet, the seat ring does not bottom in the body, allowing this small clearance to compensate for manufac-turing tolerances and thermal expansion. III. GASKET MATERIAL Wide varieties of materials are used in the manufacturing of gaskets. This section is aimed at providing a brief overview of the common elastomeric materials and selection of proper material for water header gasket. Gasket can be classified on the basis of material as follows: · Metallic gasket · Nonmetallic gasket

in the gasket seating surfaces. 2. Sufficient forces must be available to maintain a residual stress on the gasket under operating conditions to ensure that the gasket will be in intimate contact with the gasket seating surfaces to prevent blow-by or leakage. 3. The selection of the gasket material must be such that it will withstand the
